AUBURN, Alabama -- Auburn offensive lineman Eric Mack was released from the East Alabama Medical Center late Sunday afternoon after suffering a gunshot wound in a shooting Saturday night that left two of his former teammates and an Auburn resident dead.

Mack was shot in the hip area at University Heights apartments near the Auburn campus.

Police are looking for suspected shooter Desmonte Leonard of Montgomery. There is a $15,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction and a tip telephone line for those who can aid in the investigation.

Nine government agencies are involved in the investigation.

Auburn police chief Tommy Dawson warned that Leonard should be considered armed and dangerous.

Former Auburn players Ed Christian and Ladarious Phillips, and Auburn resident DeMario Pitts were killed in the shooting

Dawson said John Robertson is "fighting for his life" at UAB hospital in Birmingham. He also said Xavier Moss was treated and released after the shooting.

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for the apprehension and conviction of Leonard. The United States Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Desmonte Leonard is asked to call the US Marshals tipline at 334-223-5400.

Jumping in like a prick and warning people to hold off judging the guy who just murdered 3 people and shot 3 others is "going full tard" as you so eloquently put it.

You are being an arse.

There are no absolutes. I think there are some goddamned high odds in this case though and I am pretty comfortable riding the odds. The odds are pretty high someone who wasn't a threat to this person was shot.

Not gonna disagree. I still don't understand why he needed a gun that could shoot fast enough to sound like firecrackers at an apartment party.

a Bama fan, imagine that

This has nothing to do with Bama or Auburn.

You may not think it, but I guarantee you if this were Bama former/current players involved, you would be seeing the odds in a much different light.

Why do you continue to argue and pick at this story? You did the same fricking thing in the Phillips thread that was deleted.

No, it doesn't.

But I think the bullshite, far-out hypotheticals with no basis in current rumor or fact that you have come up with might have something to do with your PERSONAL feelings about Bama and Auburn.

Because I can't really fathom any other reason you'd just be spouting utter bullshite that somehow the Auburn players who got shot might be responsible for the whole thing.

If your family member was shot and killed after hitting a guy with a beer bottle, would you be OK with that because according to you it falls under self defense?

I never said this was absolutely self defense. And I am not saying this guy was justified in doing what he did. But in court, if someone escalates a fist fight by hitting you with a beer bottle, its possible that shooting them could be considered self defense.

Would you withhold your judgment of him killing your family member until the trial brought out what happened?

Why? I feel for the victims and there is no reason this should have happened over some dumb girl. The gunman being hit with beer bottles changes this story big time and it is a valid topic since all we are doing is speculating at this point anyways.

Don't think this is being advocated. Just pointing out the anger and how it has some justification.

I don't care how many posts someone has. I'm reading the thread just to see if there are any updates. Posters here have had information as quick as anyone. He probably is too. I know I'm tired of seeing every hypothetical reason you're posting that the players could be at fault. In case you missed what the Auburn Police Chief said, those people shot were victims.

Reason free from passion?

I think what you meant was "reason free from having any clue what went on in Auburn this weekend".

Although, I am quite impressed that you were able to read some al.com articles and piece together a defense based on ambiguity and dare to call it "reason".

Let me reiterate: you have no fricking clue what happened here so don't sully your name defending this trash.

You are wrong. Again, this is not a Bama/Auburn issue and anyone who tries to make it one is pathetic.
