The only person looking foolish, is the mayor for saying too much. There's a reason you give out as little info as possible during a manhunt. He wanted publicity. Now he's got it, all bad. Law enforcement did a good job and took all precautions necessary to stay safe. Good to see so many dedicated folks trying to apprehend this guy.

This Mayor reminds of the DA in teh DUke case that jsut wanted to get re-elected and saw an opp to get some spotlight...didnt work out for him too well either.

Precisely. FBI, US Marshals, ABI, ABC and AUPD all there, along with Montg Sheriff and his city cops. Nobody else came up to give details about what was happening, yet he felt it necessary. Politicians need to shut up and stay out of the way and let the professionals do their work and quit attempting to screw it up with their ignorance.

I know this is 'Poli board' but this is a great example as to why our government is in the shitter because of politicians.

while i see your point, i disagree that this is a good example of why we are in the shitter. there are a whole lot more things that politicians do that are way worse than trying to get some pub on the local news. unfortunately, most of the shitty things they do dont get brought to light and covered very well in the media
