Scarey music followed by Robert Stack's scary arse persona telling me "tonight you may be able to help ... solve a mystery"

and my immediate reaction of terror and praying to god I didn't get murdered tonight.

Unsolved Mysteries is great to watch as an adult.

I never really appreciated just how well done it was

This program is about unsolved mysteries. Whenever possible, the actual family members and police officials have participated in recreating the events. What you are about to see is not a news broadcast.

He still creeps me out. Dude is terrifying.

One of the first segments I remember watching as an 8 year old. The haunted bunk beds.

I'll take your word for it.. I'm not clicking on any of those links. I can remember dreading Wednesdays because I knew that show would be on.. I would beg my mom all day not to let my brothers watch it.

not yet, but I talked to my little brother who tweets for wsfa and he was telling me the cops tossed 2 canisters of tear gear in the attic. They believe he is either hiding in the wall or under insulation.

I would actually watch this show alone while my parents walked the dog around the neighborhood as an 8-9 year old in 1988-89.

Well, I would sometimes look out the window a lot If they were running late.
