You don't understand Auburn football. Auburn lives to beat Alabama and if they beat Alabama they have reached their mountaintop. Winning the Iron bowl is the pinnacle for Auburn football.

They truly have no understanding of the fact that they are a Miss. St. or an Ole Miss. They think they are elite and most people outside of the South don't even know who they are.

This coming from a fan who's school tripled coaches salaries everywhere because they were tired of losing to Auburn. Not to mention chunked a brick at another coach who won 10 games but yet couldn't beat Auburn.

How are you guys arguing about predictions when Cam Newton hasnt taken a real snap in an Auburn uniform? The whole offense revolves around him running it effectively, and actually being as good as Auburn fans think.

Right because AU is being picked to win the SEC championship, National Championship, and is in the preseason top 10.

AU is a lot people's dark horse pick. Meaning it isn't likely, but if Newton is the real deal they COULD have a great season. Ole Miss was in the preseason top 10 last year and picked to have a possible championship season.

In other words, AU 10 and Ole Miss 09 have nothing in common.

The high school offense is done for, not that we didn't know that.

Doesn't State try to run a pretty similar offense albeit with shittier and slower players?

No, their offense has produced 2 MNCs.

Auburn's has a high school state title in Arkansas.

No, Urban Meyer and UF's offense won two MNC's. Dan Mullen and Miss. St. hasn't won dick.

It's amazing how every head coach opening Malzahn and his high school offense is immediately said to be one of the top candidates.

Like who? What job offers will Malzahn have at the end of this season?

Hold on let me look into my crystal ball so I can see the future.

Let's see last year it was La. Tech and a few others.

Well, where did Mullen get his offense? How many MNC's has Meyer won without Mullen?

Notre Dame was looking for a coach last year.

I think Scoop was just having fun with his posts. I don't think he was totally serious. Y'all AU fans need to settle down a bit IMO.

BTW, we didn't hire a great coach to beat AU, Saban was hired to win championships. It hurts to lose to your in-state rival 6 years in a row but for us, it's even harder going 17 years without a NC.

AU wins 8 in the regular season IMO.

I see this posted a lot, and to an extent i agree it could be the case. However i think the thing with Ole miss was that every expected they'd do very well. Hence starting in the top 10 (maybe top 5) in the nation last year. Which clearly isn't the case for auburn this year. I also see it a lot from arky fans which isn't suprising becasue prior to a few talking heads saying auburn "might" exceed expectations this year, most folks were making this retarded equation look like this:
Arky 10=Ole Miss 09

Dude this is ridiculous...you are Miss St...you are a joke...aren't you the only SEC with a losing record overall? or is Vandy challenging you now to find out who sucks worse? Auburn had a crappy season in 08 and pick up somewhat in 09...Miss State will never be a respectable program in this conference....c'mom State fans...don't become like Arky fans and make me hate you...

so just because we believe that we have a chance to beat you, we are becoming like the Arky fans on here?
I'm not calling a victory, but you are going to be damned surprised if you think AU will win like lat year.
MSU improved drastically over the course of the season last year, and Auburn was our first SEC game. The MSU team that finished the season was not the same MSU team that Auburn handled the second week of the season.

State Fans...

I keep reading that your team has improved... another year in the system, better players, etc....

Doesn't that sound vaguely familiar to what AU did/is doing as well?

You have to believe/hope that your team will win every game, or else whats the point? No hating here

No. We have beaten Auburn 2 years in a row and every year at their place after '04...

Why not just say 2006?

Is this the pinnicle for you arky fans? I mean LSU, UGA, and Bama have done the same thing but you guys have really pimped this great achivement this offseason. You beat a team with a 13-12 record the last two seasons. You beat a team that went 5-11 in SEC play. You beat the worst AU team in a decade in 2008 and then the worst statistiaclly defensive team in AU history.

It really is an honor for you guys to be so proud of your accomplishments...it really is.
