Petrino would bring so much shitastic baggage with him that he would have total disarray in Auburn. The guy is an arrogant social misfit. I just dont see it and dont want it.

I will give him credit for hittin that 25 year old cooze.

I dont' think it would have half the negative effect you believe. WOuld coaches use it...sure, whould it work, with a few kids probably, but not with the majority.

If anything, parents and kids might get turned off at the fact the they are trying to bad mouth him like that. It could go both ways.

When it comes down to it, its about winning football games. And he is yalls best option to do that.

I'll take winning over having a defense.

Does he know how to win?

While i think he's done an acceptable job, i don't think asking an incoming HC to retain anyone from the old regime is a good idea. So if he's a casualty i won't lose sleep over it.

You don't think those recruits are worth giving him one more year? It's not like he's been with Chiz from the beginning.

Shouldn't you be focusing on Vol fans?

Oh i'm all for keeping him, but i wouldn't want our hopefully new AD to say to Petrino or any other newly installed head coach, "here is your DC, deal with it." Now if that coached wanted to retain BVG i'd be very much for that. I just don't want to hancuff him.

While I could answer your irrelevant question, I think I'll continue posting about relevant things.

We need a coach who can field a defense. BP is not one of those coaches.

So the 2 past coaches yall hired to field a good D and neither working out is an irrelevant question? (Well, TT sorta worked out. Yall just jumped ship to soon).

It just sounds like it is about time to hire a HC who has proven he can field an offense in the SEC. With the talent already on D, it shouldn't be a big problem having a good D.

It would be interesting to go back and read some AU fans thoughts on the motorcycle situation. Remember, that was all before the "Godly" man Gene tanked...

I'm just tired of other brands of football. I want what Auburn used to have. A nasty defense and an offense that opens up lanes for big running backs with physical WR.
