I hate Auburn because an adult Auburn fan touched me in the wrong place when I was a wee lad.

I love how the aubies revel in "dominating" us in our worst 2 decades in last 40-50 years. The 80's were a slump from dealing with the hangover of the Bear years. It's not easy to replace a coach like that and most good coaches dont wanna follow them either. Then in the 00's we were under the worst ncaa sanctions short of the SMU death penalty in history (later surpased by USC in the Reggie Bush fiasco). Not saying we didnt deserve them, but regardless, they were there and they had a hell of an effect.

Congratulations for being just good enough to be better than us during our worst periods in history. That's a real accomplishment.

It's not our fault once bear left alabama couldn't get away with murder anymore and finally got caught and put on probation. Just shows what happens when the playing field is even.

Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin.
Bear Bryant invented cheating.
Alabama fans invented low class football fans.
Auburn invented a way to shut Bama fans up.

nice, i do not usually have problem with au fans. they are usually dorkier and more harmless. bama fans are usually frattier, drunker, more irrational, and less intelligent.

As an LSU fan who hates them both, here is my opinion. Bama is historically a better team, but outside the state nobody really gives a crap about them. Yet, their arrogance and fairy tale championships they claim make them easy to hate. Their fans are some of the worst I have ever experienced on away games, yet also having some of the best and most genuine. The fact that they fill up a stadium for a spring game shows their loyalty or at least lack of any other hobby or life. I would never let me kid go to school there.

Auburn fans are the penis envy step children of the state. Every time they fart they wanna be applauded. They think they are better than Bama fans becase of their frat wear and better looking women. They have been pretty much irrelevant for all of time in the national scene. That has been proven by their recent champion$hip that nobody cares about or gives them credit for. They will always be #2 in the state, no matter what. It's about winning programs, not winning teams. I'd never let my kid go to school there.

I love how the bammers believe this 100% but never recognize that the same exact thing applies in reverse.

In the 1960's, Auburn was on probation and bammer was provided at that time permanent home-field advantage in the Iron Bowl.

In the 1970's, Shug was on a downward slide, Auburn was on probation, Auburn was burdened with the dead weight of Doug Barfield as the coach, and bammer was still provided permanent home-field advantage in the Iron Bowl.

In the 1990', Auburn was on probation, Auburn was burdened with the dead weight of the Mildy Retarded Bowden Son as the coach, and bammer was partially still provided majority home-field advantage in the Iron Bowl.

So, you see, bammer only beats Auburn when Auburn is "down" too.

And, to be more exact, bammer only beats Auburn when Da Bahr is the head coach. (P.S. He's dead and he ain't comin' back.)

LSU was terrible for most of my life. We never claimed to be better than we were. This thread wasn't about LSU.

So because I pointed out the truth, you got mad and thought I'd care about overall winning %?? I don't. A lot of teams have won. That doesn't make them relevant to other the rest of the nation. Championships are remembered, winning %s are not. Another example of the penis envy Auburn fans have. They get mad when people don't respect them. Stay off probabation and learn how to win consistently and we might.

Once again you ignorant trash from Wire Rd, this thread compares Auburn and Bama. Are you that inferior that you have to find someone who is only slightly better historically?

To quote the ignorant trash from the bayou...

They have been pretty much irrelevant for all of time in the national scene.

NATIONAL scene... I'm pretty sure that's what I read and that's what you wrote.

And now you want to morph it back to Auburn and bammer after YOU brought up the NATIONAL scene? Yeah, I can see why you'd want to do that after you've been shown that Auburn is every bit as relevant on the NATIONAL scene as your own precious team.

And i went up to Auburn this year, they don't hate us, they kind of respect us just like we do with them. I didn't have a single heckler down there, these random fans actually invited me into their tailgate and talked sports with me. I almost died last year in Tuscaloosa, I mean literally almost died for doing the same things I did in auburn.

95% of Bama fans don't hate LSU. The hate from LSU towards Alabama is WAY larger. Bama fans are too busy despising UT and Auburn fans to harbor much ill will for LSU fans. Judging Auburn fans is a little trickier. They are quite nice to most fanbases, but they do a complete 180 with regard to visiting Bama fans who they treat like total dog s###. In fact, there might not be a larger chasm in all of sports between the way Auburn fans treat most visiting fanbases (nicely) and how they treat Alabama fans (extremely aggressive, defensive, and belligerent).

LSU fans were burning Saban in effigy prior to the 2008. Admittedly, Bama fans were pretty bad last year towards LSU. In fact, last year's Bama/LSU game in BDS was by far the most heckling I can ever remember Bama fans doing towards visiting LSU fans. We're normally very tame but were pissed off and ornery that day for some reason.

That's probably bc when the IB is played at BDS, Bama fans treat us like shite. I've been physically assaulted in Tuscaloosa a couple of times and verbally assaulted as well. Some of these instances were not even the weekend of the IB, just random weekends I was down there visiting friends.
