He isn't in the same league as the others IMO though.
I agree with what you said but he's arguably the best of the group in the NFL.

Probably. I think that may go back to his work ethic. I was surprised when he declared, but understand the circumstances he was dealing with. I was more talking about his physical tools compared to the others. He is a good back no matter how you look at it and I hope he does well for himself.

Pre-crazy Mason is the best of the group.
CAP edges Barber in the category of "those who haven't been given much chance to perform yet" (CAP/Barber - yards per carry 4.0/4.1, TDs 3/1, yards per reception 11.5/5.6).

I'm surprised to see so many AU fans put pettway so high. Don't get me wrong the guy is insane, but the others seemed to have longer to prove themselves while Kam has only balled out for 1 season.

Mason
Pettway
Artis-Payne
Barber
Dyer
Mason and Pettway share the same ability to demoralize a defense as a game progresses. And both Mason and Barber managed to rush for 1000+ yards in seasons where they had virtually no help from the rest of the offense.
Dyer was overrated. Torched shitty defenses, and disappeared against decent ones (averaged 57 ypg and 3.7 ypc against UF, LSU, UGa and Bama his last year at AU).
If you had gone back just a little further and included Ben Tate in your list, he would have been a solid #2 between Mason and Pettway (I'm hoping Bubba has a monster year in '17, but he'll have to prove he can stay healthy).

How dare he not dominate running behind The Matador AJ Greene at LT, Gay Blade Jon Sullen at LG, and true freshman Reese Dismukes at Center. He should have dominated behind those NFL all-pros.

Dyer averaged fewer ypc that season (5.13) than our only other two RBs, McCalebb (5.72) and Mason (5.75).
And the game he missed due to suspension (Peach Bowl vs UVa) was arguably the most impressive rushing performance all season (6.2 ypc, 4 TDs, 273 yards against a top 40 defense).
Dude had the skills, but outside of a critical run in the BCSCG, his positive impact on the program failed to live up to the hype. And I'm not even taking his off field issues into account.

Dyer singlehandedly won us the game at Scar that year.

He isn't that high on my board yet. But then again im still surprised he can move that well. Now that he will have a ton of expectations upon him next season, I'm eager to see what he do then.
With that said, Jovon Robinson could've been really high up the board if he kept his attitude in check. He had all the physical tools.

I think Pettway has chance to leave on top of that list but until he plays a full season at RB hard to put him over the other 2 who have done that. I loved watching CAP run but I think the other 3 guys were clearly more talented. Barber was solid but man he missed some open holes in crucial situations last season. Played hard but all the other guys are more talented

This..
Dyer really wasn't that good. His vision was quite frankly pretty shitty. Barber was tough, but slow.
