So the answer is "I don't know."
While I agree, that doesn't provide for much of a discussion.

If you lose 5 games it will be a miracle. More like 6 loses next year.

I read through half of this thread and all I can say is forget about the offense. Gus can have 3 Cams on the roster, but if that god awful, embarrassing defense doesn't improve, and guys like Jake Holland are allowed to do anything other play scout team, we are frickED. I actually want to see pussies like Jeffery Whitaker do something besides get blow backwards 5 yards every play.

They will score some points with Gus' offense and there is talent on that squad. They are Ole Miss last year with better talent.
AU has the talent already there, and this new crop of recruits will really help them by contributing early. IMO, Gus' offense can't help but put points on the board because all the offensive players were recruited to run "his" offense.
I think the rest of that staff Johnson/Harbison/Craig/Gardner, etc. will bring in the discipline that is sorely needed over there.

I hate to bash a player, and I'm sure he gave it everything he had, but that kid was a disaster. I bet VanGorder wanted to kick his arse up and down the field from the moment he took over that D.

No doubt. Gus has put a good looking staff together (damnit!).
On big problem he might face next year is buy-in. After four years of Chiz, there are sure to be more than a few that liked things the old way. There will be a few bumps along the way. See Saban, Nick and the 2007 Alabama Crimson Tide for a recent example.
