Les had to use trick plays just to stay in the game.

And use them to perfection he did. Chiz looked like a lost puppy out there.

LSU had like 115 rushing yards and 3/4ths of those were from Jefferson.

I think you guys had just over 120 passing yards with a 1/3 of that from your RB.

Meanwhile, AU racked up something like 450 yards rushing. It was a pretty dominating performance.

that was only because of a mercy knee at the 1.

Due to a mercy knee and your punter having 5 punts for an average of 53 yards per with 4 of them pinning AU deep. Way to coach up that punter Les Really took Chiz to school that day.

Even if you had punched it in, it was still a lot closer than it should have been. We had the ball with only a few minutes left in the game with a chance to tie. We had absolutely no business being in that position and the only reason we were is because Miles outcoached Chiz all day long. Switch coaches and Auburn would have won the way LSU did in 09 and 11.

Only if you give Miles credit for what the punter did.

Chizik is a much better coach than Les. Chizik took over a shitty situation at Auburn. Chizik has been recruiting evenly with Les the last two years. The funny part is that LSU has a state to themselves. I see it paying off in Chizik's favor starting next year when he will finally have the machine rolling.

You can cry about the punter all you want like that's not part of the game or something but that doesn't change what happened.

You're right.

Calling a punt on 4th down is fricking genius. Gene got severely out-coached in this area. Les is on a totally different level. All because of those 4th down gambles.

2 of the 4 greatest beatdowns by LSU in the history of the LSU/Auburn series have occured in the last 3 years.

Further, last year's 35 point destruction was the worst loss by either team in the history of the two programs

In other words...LSU LUVS Gene Chizit.

Not crying, giving him credit.

It is. It is the part of the game that kept it closer than it should have been. However, I have a hard time crediting Miles' coaching genius for the punting performance.

People have been saying this since the day Les was hired, it still hasn't happened. Keep waiting till next year bro, you'll be waiting a long time
