Damn - Bama Associate AD resigns. And he was previously with the NCAA - his role was "processing information for cases involving potential violations of NCAA amateurism legislation in men’s basketball."
He learned how to skirt the NCAA rules then applied that knowledge at Bama.

The big name kid from Spain Park - my wife and kid know them
They didn't do anything wrong as far as I am concerned
I know they broke rules, I just think that players should be able to be paid

The best admins out there imo.
Cheating isn’t cheating until you get caught.

Person clearly is described as discussing Wiley in a phone call to CW1. The indictment then talks about Player 1 meeting with CW1 in New York. Because of the way it was written people assumed Player 1 was Wiley because of the flow of the indictment. However, as Gene pointed out, player 1 can't be Wiley because several facts don't line up.
So we are not losing Wiley?

I wonder if Bryce Brown could be number 2. He’s always had this unwarranted cockiness about him.

Bryce Brown would be a pretty big blow to the team given how he has been shooting the 3ball though + limited guard depth.
Best case it is Purifoy + Horace Spencer

all teams should put players on suspension soon once they are told or find out who they are

I think it's time to consider a thread title name change.

Not sure who's a bigger snake, Pearl or Sean Miller. Miller's been rumored to be paying off players for years (or at least known about it)

So, charges coming tomorrow out of Birmingham?

I will catch hell for this but you do not have to believe it.
Last year I was at the SEC Championship in Atlanta and I was sitting beside a guy who said he was an AAU coach from Birmingham. We got to talking about basketball in North Alabama. I asked him why in the would would John Petty sign with Alabama over Kentucky and he told me that Petty's mother was paid $100,000 to go to Bama. I called bullshite and he said I had no idea how much influence shoe companies had on where kids went to school.
I commented later to my wife that that guy was full of shite. When all this broke the other day my wife reminded me of that conversation.

In regards to Petty I will say you are full of shite. I would believe it about Sexton, but Petty is far from being on the radar of shoe companies at this point. He is a fringe NBA draftee at best.

Talking heads tonight believe Sean Miller will be fired within next two weeks. The criminal complaint makes it pretty clear that Arizona recruit Brandon Williams’ 2018 classmate Javhon Quinerly was getting bribe money and that a current Wildcat also received money. Williams was all Gonzaga until in the middle of the night he commits to Zona which makes it even more intriguing. There are going to be some ineligiblity and possible vacation issues before even getting to punishments. Remember letters of intent don’t get signed until April, but it looks like there will be fallout at Arizona.

What if NCAA officials are involved in this? Maybe that's why this whole charade has been going on for years and they've never stepped in. It took the FBI getting involved for this to happen.

You believe Nike does not know who John Petty is? Have you ever been to a Nike sponsored highschool basketball event? Obviously not.
