That exchange was a classic example of the contrast between rational UT grads and the mouth breathing sidewalkers that exist in their fanbase

You are either stupid or delusional if you watched Mike and Mike. I'm in everyone's head on here, yes. FYI I'm on iPad hence the capitalization, poor guys. if I was mad do you think I would be here starting stuff?

Punted twice = arse kicking.
What does punting three times equal? That's the number of actual A&M punts. Bama punted only 4 times. Let's not let the facts get in your way, though.

Well 4 punts and 3 turnovers

One was at the end of the game where A&M was running the ball three straight times... So Alabama was actually forcing a punt only twice. Well. One time was actually the refs fabricating an offensive pass interference call. In reality, Saban's mighty defense only stopped Texas A&M once the entire game... Therefor... arse kicking.

Are people seriously debating the results of a game that happened months ago? Is this some sort of diversionary tactic?
Who cares. A&M won - congrats to them.
A&M punted 3 times, Alabama punted 4. That's hardly relevant.
A&M's defense stopped three drives with crucial turnovers. Those three drives were:
4 plays, 23 yards (made to midfield) then Int
3 plays, 50 yards (made it to A&M 30) then fumble
5 plays, 58 yards (made it to A&M 2) then Int
Regarding the "scored in 2 plays", that was not the last critical drive for A&M. The last critical drive was 3 plays, 0 yards. That drive is the one that preceded Alabama marching down to the 2 yard line with a chance to take the lead. The 4th quarter was really two gassed defenses, two offenses trading haymakers, and the A&M defense is the one with the two clutch plays.
Seriously:
335 yards for both teams in the 4th quarter, out of 849 for the game. Nearly 40% of the offensive yards in the entire game happened in that quarter.
We can play the "What if" game all freaking day long.
What if A&M's kicker makes that FG and XP, and they get the 2pt conversion?
What if Alabama doesn't fumble or throw the pick in the 4th quarter?
If if if. A&M won - kudos on your defense making some clutch plays and a great effort by your offense. We'll see you again in a few weeks.
Why trying to make this game as some sort of "A&M's lucky" or "Alabama was lucky it wasn't worse" is just stupid. Either team could've won that game.
Just like A&M was 9 points from being undefeated...
And 10 points away from being 8-5.
Alabama was 5 points from being undefeated...
And 4 points from missing out on the SEC title game.
Can't we all just go back to agreeing that Texas sucks?

As long as you understand my noble fight against the gumps is reasonable, I will agree with you.

I disagree with my fellow Alabama fans trying to make the game into something other than a loss, just as I disagree with A&M fans trying to somehow claim it was this brutal arsekicking. It was neither. It was a close game against two really good teams - two of the 6 or 7 best teams in college football. I have found that such debates are a MASSIVE waste of energy and time. Most people are going to think whatever they dang well please anyway, and facts will never dissuade them.
And yes, that's for both sides of the argument.
Longhorns still suck. As do the Fighting Irish.

You'll notice that any "asskicking" talk is only used as a rebuttal to gump diatribes about how they didn't deserve to lose, or that it was all due to LSU the week before or some such nonsense.

That doesn't really justify the claims either. As far as if the LSU game had any impact or not - I'm not a player or coach, I didn't see those guys in practice. I cannot say with anything remotely resembling certainty that it had any impact at all.

To be fair, I wish more A&M fans were like you.
All fanbases have their annoying sections - and message boards amplify those groups a million fold. At the games, you rarely encounter them. On the internet, you would swear they are the norm.
