There is some truth to the fact that elite programs push the envelope and occasionally cross the line, get caught, and pay the price for a few years. Alabama did it, Miami, USC, Oklahoma, Ohio State......two notable exceptions are Tom Osborne at Nebraska who was apparently pretty clean and, as bad as I hate the prick, Spurrier at Florida. Osborne’s success is more impressive because Nebraska ain’t an easy sale. Spurrier is a helluva coach but Florida is pretty easy to recruit to given the wealth of talent nearby. If USCe is any indication Osborne was much more impressive as S Carolina is an easier recruit than Nebraska and Spurrier was pretty mediocre without being the flagship university in a ridiculously loaded state for CFB talent.

UGA can out recruit UT using Uber.... Athens is in the outskirts of likely the second most fertile HS Football metro area in the Southeast. Miami is the only area with more talent.
Georgia also has a bumper crop of 5 stars in the state.
