PLEASE let someone make the argument that Alabama won their division and Florida didn't.

If ND had lost, UF would've been right there where Bama was last year. The cards just didn't fall their way.

The frick does this have to do with LSU?

You're clustered in with the 35k other Rantards that have been whining incessantly since Nov 3.

Focus on the argument at hand.

There is no argument. The current system is flawed, but like the schools that gain from it, the schools that are being hurt agreed to it as well. That invalidates the argument.

Rules are in place for a reason. You agree to play within the confines of those rules. The confines of those rules define the season. The season isnt over. You don't change horses mid-stream because your feet got wet.

The powers that be elected to change it, until that change comes its a moot point. Maybe we should let tOSU play ND - afterall it isnt fair they have a good team and cant play for the title. See how goofy that is.

I didn't whine about the game. You guys won, we lost. It was a heartbreaker, no doubt, but I was proud of the way LSU played. No qualms about it, really.

What in the hell are you talking about?

What rule is keeping Alabama ahead of Florida?

Not even remotely comparable.

The coaches and sports writers that voted them there.

You're not very good at obvious points are you.

Maybe you need a can of air to blow in your ear for a refill. It will help you think this through.

Sure it is, you want to change the rules so Florida can jump over Alabama because you think they're better. Why can't we change the rules to let tOSU be ranked as well. Afterall we perceive them to be better, so they should be allowed to play.

Yes you are right. I was rude and hasty in my judgement. I was trying to say I clustered you in that group without considering your point - my bad.

You seem to be missing the point.

When comparing resumes, there is no logical reason for Alabama to be ahead of Florida.

I'm not disputing what is. I'm asking WHY they are voting them there when the results don't add up.

There you go again talking about "rules". And I never said I thought Florida was better. I said their resume is clearly better.

You're comparing a team that has been put on probation being ineligible to a team that has played and beaten a tougher schedule being unfairly left out.

Do I really have to explain why that comparison is ridiculous?

Because their last 3 regular season games the voters saw them barely pull out a win 14-7 vs Mizzou, Block a punt at the end of the game to beat UL-L by 7 after trailing the whole game, and struggle against a FCS Jax St. team. That's how human polls work.

I know this is not an answer to the OP but...
Fl is ranked 6 in both the coaches and the AP (last week) with UGA winning even against a unranked opponent, I don't see Fl jumping us in the BCS. Let's not forget all scheduling aside, we beat Florida.

Don't everyone blow me up for this, I know we didn't exactly have a tough road and we got escorted through death valley.. but Bama didn't exactly have a tough trio either.
So.. maybe it should be:
#2 UGA
#3 Fl
#4 Bama

Johnny Football isn't the same player he was week 1. If Florida played the Johnny Football that walked in to Bryant-Denny, he would have demolished the Gators.

Simple as that.

I think you're right about Manziel (GOD I hate the name Johnny Football - but he is an awesome player.)

However, other things might be different today, too. Florida has a lot of young talent on defense that has done nothing but get better all year. Alabama clearly wasn't ready for the thunder that A&M brought to Bryant-Denny. You might win a rematch, but I feel pretty safe in saying that you wouldn't jump on us like that again. I don't think South Carolina could beat UGA in a rematch, let alone demolish them. And I think Florida would beat UGA if they played again.

Dude, you are simply not able to give any credit to FLs defense. Not to mention LSU made Johnny look bad. I don't know if Florida would beat TAMU this week, but to simply say that JF would destroy FL is asinine.

Apparantly you missed the Georgia, Missouri, U-LA-La, and Jacksonville State games.

Gawd you are an idiot. Our defense was indeed better, even with a lot of players hurt those games. Our OL was decimated, and Will is more interested in the W than in winning style points. We were resting a lot of players. So f off. You lost two games, even with Johnny football, one to Florida. We were a better team than you.

Defense trumps offense, when are people going to learn this lesson. You'd think after the 2008 best EVER offense in college football got schooled in the national championship.

Alabama was a 1-point W. Kentucky victory over North Texas away from beating only 3 teams on the season with a winning record. As it stands now.. Western Kentucky gives them that 4th win.

Dat schedule.
