while technically true, it didn't help freshman couldn't play varsity ball and him breaking his arm his senior year and missing their last three games of the season, including their only two SEC losses that season didn't help. He was also close his sophomore season. Ole Miss finished 1 game out of first place. Both of their SEC losses were by one point.
I guess you could say Archie, Peyton, and Eli were all kind of snake bitten and, honestly, a bit unlucky in college
