I really shouldn't be getting on the LSU guys. Every school has them and LSU isn't any worse than anybody else. I wish all the programs would clean out the trouble makers.

Thanks, the first logical thing you have said in this entire thread

My take is he is a young kid who made a mistake, happens all the time. Unlike Perriloux/TM7... Hill is doing everything the coaches are asking of him to fix this, the other two never did. I can promise you the staff has not taken this lightly with him. He knows he is on the hot seat and will be for a while. He hasn't been allowed out of his house after 9:00 p.m. for months now and was suspended from any team events all summer. Talk about a crappy college experience lol. But, definitely warranted for everything that took place.

How would you go about defining reasonable amount?

I think he's a good kid, no other issues. School sat him but what he had to go through from preacher dad was probably worse. And before someone interjects Cecil Newton here, Lemay's dad is far from that.

I think the board should get a vote on when it's over.

That's probably a good move! As my parents used to say..."Nothing good ever happens after 1AM!

You know, I hadn't though about that. When they get into trouble like that, it WOULD tend to take the edge off the college experience, wouldn't it? I don't feel bad for athletes. I mean, they get a lot of advantages, but they also get a lot of crap with practice, meetings, personal appearances, etc.

Out of curiosity....was it ever made clear about what started the altercation with Hill? I mean, it occurred to em that the other guy might have spotted him and recognized him as a football player and pushed the confrontation....it happens.
If that was what happened, I wouldn't have blamed him...but I never saw or heard what started the fight.

I can't say for sure what happened, but I have heard some racial comments may have spurred everything happened. But, no link on that one for you

Well, we can be pretty obnoxious, some...most of the time. Hope you find something that suits you. Like I have said, I used to be a HUGE LSU fan. When I was in Louisiana working, I worked with some die hard LSU fans, and every time Georgia fell behind in the score they would get on my back about them. I kept telling them I was a LSU fan (Even though I had moved in from Georgia)but they wouldn't listen. Just kept hammering me about Georgia. So...I decided to become a Georgia fan!

I used to like LSU when big Hilliard and Robiske and that bunch was playing. MY brother is still a huge LSU fan. He wears some stupid purple and gold lounge pants around when they are playing!

I don't know that much about him. I know he has played a little bit, but not much. He never developed. My father was in church work, too, so I know how that can be. BUT, I cannot complain about the upbringing I had. My parents sacrificed for me to give me everything I needed...including whippings, when I needed them, too!

So tell me. had it been YOUR 14 year old daughter, you would say, "No harm, no foul." "Fix the justice system, and until then I don't care."?

1) I have a 14yr old and a 17yr old and I've raised them right.

2) I'm going to say this one last time. There was a video of the incident where the girl said things and did things. She wasn't coerced, pressured, forced or whatever else you want to come up with. It was a case of daddy's little angel gone terribly wrong. And Hill was 18 for all of 20 days. A month earlier and no one is ever arrested.

Well. Good luck this year. You guys should have a great year. Just don't make it too good. One loss to a certain red and black team would be nice. Feel free to win the rest!
