LSU may be a symbolic replacement for Texas in Razorland, but i just don't get the sense that it will ever flow both ways.
big game usually? yep. god awful trophy to the winner? yep. rivarly? not yet.

Hell we've won MORE bowl games in the last half decade than Arkansas has won in the last two and a half decades.
So hell yeah, when we have five championships in the last DECADE, it might be reasonable to point out you don't even have three bowl wins in twenty-five years.
And you lost 38-7 to Mizzou ?
And Minnesota ?
And who loses to UNLV ?

Trouble reading much? Clearly Texas as a team took us seriously, their fans to this day claim they never considered us a rival. It bit them in the arse several times, as it will LSU if their fans don't accept that we ARE a rival. I've said it several times on this forum that I believe Arkansas LSU is a real rivalry.

you said Texas never did consider Arkansas a rival. that's simply not true, as evidenced by them (and guess what? only them, no other SWC team) producing a halftime show aimed at Arkansas after Arkansas left the conference.

When Arky wins, it is irrelevant to LSU.
Had they kept us from our rightfully earned BCS Title in 2007, a rivalry may have followed.
It almost kept LSU out of the SECCG this year. . .but AU won the Iron bowl, rendering it irrelevant.
For a rivalry to occur, they have to cost us something significant.
It just hasn't happened.
