Oh it's been plenty competitive lately, you can't argue that crap, but whether ARk is a top rival is open to debate.

Who is your rival that you play on a constant basis?

No it's not. There was a least 50 threads started in the last month that told us so.

Quite possible that LSU beats us in BR next year

...but not likely, unless we play like we did last night.

Hey, with the history, Ark being hot (unlike last night), Mallet and our crappy qb situation, most realistic fans figured the Ark game was going to go down to the wire this year.

With no Jones/McFadden/Hillis/Mallet and us with Mett, I like our chances next year.

As i was pulling for the hogs last night, a couple of things came to mind.

1) A little humility is necessary for this fanbase
2) They have zero defense
3) Those drop passes cost them the game
4) Mallet may fall to second round if he goes early this year

This has nothing to do with our head to head record vs. Ark. Ole Miss beat Florida in 2008 when they won it all. Does that mean they were better than the national champs? Of course not. Anything can happen on one day. It's about doing it consistently and on the big stage. This is where Arkansas is an epic disaster.

Wilson/Childs/Adams/Wright/Hamilton/Davis...

But you have "Mett," so I guess you're the favorite.

One can only hope Adams drops 75% of his passes against LSU next year. But no, he will likely have the game of his life.

You are missing the point of the thread and I got sidetracked. Sure Ark plays very well against LSU, but you don't look ready for primetime. Most LSU fans were rooting for you ball-dropping, penalty receiving, no pass protecting, no defense playing bastards last night.

Oh, and Mett or not, I predict LSU will be the favorite in next year's game, but being "favorite" really doesn't mean much.

Lighten up Francises. Jeezum petes.
Not to play Devil's Advocate, but Ohio State was bound to finally win against the SEC; and they very well should have lost of course.
But Arkansas came about as close as possible to winning, but they didn't. But damn give them credit for winning 10 games and going to their first Sugar Bowl in 30 years. They may have had the dropsies and were nervous; but they dominated tOSU in the second half. I feel bad for them. This was a HUGE deal for them. There were tens of thousands of Hawg fans in the Big Easy enjoying themselves; as well they should.
They deserved it. Well done Arkansas.
