Graphic makes me recall that Arkansas participated in SEC spring sports in 1991, but did not participate in football until 1992.
Actually not all spring sports. They played an SWC baseball schedule in 1991.
It's confusing.
Think the only sport they competed in 1991 as an SEC member was XC, which is a fall sport.

Arkansas is on the UP!!! UP!!! UP!!!
FB finally won some SEC games...
Yep, still a ways to go.
Yr 2 of our BB coach, and we are winning. 9 in a row, and on to bigger and better things
Baseball #1 ranking incoming... early, but still
Womens BB, beat Ucon, Baylor and onward and upward.
Softball??? Improving.
Track and field, just the normal!

Commitment, investment, money, facilities, recruiting budget.
All the things that make us great at football.

If I were to guess...the same thing that makes Alabama so good in football. Recruit good athletes and then keep good coaches.

You also forgot tradition.
Arkansas and Oregon are basically the Alabama and Ohio State/Notre Dame/USC of track.
Oregon has Nike hype and Steve Prefontaine and Hayward Field, but Arkansas has a slew of modern Olympic champions (many of them Jamaican sprinters) and even better facilities.
They are the only school with world IAAF top level certified indoor snd outdoor tracks/stadiums, which means they could legitemetly host world championship type international T&F events there if they ever got them.
Arkansas also had the best coach in the history of NCAA athletics helm its program for 35+ years 8n John McDonnell. Arkansas won 12 national titles in a row at one point, the most ever by a program in any sport.
They essentially had Nick Saban, John Wooden, Pat Summitt rolled into one.
