This early season "crowning" always makes me laugh. Arky struggled week 1. They looked really good against Tex.. Let's get half way through the season where we can see what each team actually has.

But, I was asking the OP why he believes Arkansas will win 2nd. Neither Arkansas nor Ole Miss have played well in the SEC recently, so what is the basis of his believe that Arkansas is better than Ole Miss?

OBVIOUSLY gaggots are down and won't beat Arkansas. Obviously LSU will be a dog fight but arkansas beats them even on years when they win national titles- not worried.
State looks dangerous but we'll beat them with ball control, in Fayetteville. Same for Mizzou. Mizzou already gave up 340 rushing in a game, they are exposed and even that decent offense can't cover for a truly TERRIBLE run defense.
The Barn has to come to Fayetteville and we beat them on the plains so Im not truly worried about that game. Thats a revenge game.
Yes, we are the only team that has to play Bama AND Georgia, both on the road, but we'll make up for that by beating the rest of you lot head-to-head.
As I said earlier, comes down to Oxford.

Ole Miss is gonna be a tough game.
Not sure if Coral will throw it to our guys half the time this year like he did last year.
Just happy to be back to a level that we are competitive.

Arky is definitely so far the most impressive and improved team in the SEC

When they play a defense that can shut down the run and matchup man to man they’re fricked.
Rice played them tough for 3 quarters. Talent and depth basically won out.
Texas basically got hit in the mouth and never recovered. Their freshman QB was not ready for that atmosphere. Sark shite the bed play calling wise. I don’t think their defense is that bad, but when your on the field the entire game against a running team you’re fricked.
KJ Jefferson is an exceptional runner, but a mediocre passer. Someone will exploit that in the west.
And slackaveli, where have you’ve been the last 9 years? A&M’s defense will be your first big test. I think we match up well against teams like Arkansas compared to Alabama/Ole miss.
It’s gonna come down to whether A&M can score points. Jimbo is gonna have to earn his money this year based on the Colorado game. But there is some optimism how Calzada played in the last two drives

2 quarters. Arkansas came out flat. Outscored Rice 31-7 in the 2nd half.

Game was 100% never in doubt. Texas was lucky Arkansas settled for 4 FG’s or the Hogs put up 60.
