Rutgers has a good run D. That's about it. First game they lost to Fresno St by giving up over 50. Their pass D is almost non-existent.
Their 2 wins prior to Hogs was against 2 teams with a combined 1-6 record at this point.
Rutgers is really not very good. Overall, I think Hogs are better but with the new offense that is so run oriented it was a bad matchup for you guys since that was Rutgers one real strength.

Fresno attempted 75 passes, lots of teams would give up pass yardage against that type of offense.

yeah it was a bad matchup because our starting QB didn't play. I know the Rant likes to flame Arkansas and that's fine but any reasonable person knows that game likely is much different if Brandon Allen plays. Hell, most of our predictions throughout the week said if he plays we win, if not we lose.

Yes, I agree. Arkansas is the better team. Had this game taken place in 3 or 4 weeks, Arkansas wins by 14 or more.
I figured with Allen out, passing was not going to go particularly well. Rutgers did what they had to do and shut the run down.
Still, none of this matters if special teams don't break down to allow comeback to get going.

The biggest thing about the punt return was he rugby kicked it to the left when it should have been to the right where the coverage was.
