Same with Mrs. TbirdSpur  Oh well, our football addiction is a cross they must bear.

Its true. She knew what she was getting in to on the front end. I made her a deal and gave her all the major holidays as long as we do whatever I want on Labor Day weekend. Which basically involves watching football all weekend. That was my only stipulation pre-marriage.

Smart man Yeah my wife knew she was marrying a sports fanatic from the get go. I balance it out by watching her chick flicks and TLC tv shows or whatever, as long as I get the TV whenever the Ags or a big game is on. Actually got her to watch the entire national championship game with me and she was into it at the end. Now it's on to season #2 of corruption

It is strange. I am usually so focused on Big 12 crap, and reading up on the teasips and especially the Sooners(even though the teasips get there way, the Sooners have been the top dog), but honestly I'm not concerned with them and don't know what to do. After the collapses last season, and my unfamiliarity and lack of hatred for all the newbies, I am just so excited for the ride. I feel like it is will be one of those years I watch the NFL and don't play fantasy. Pretty excited.

It would definitely be odd to have your team switch conferences as an adult. It would completely mess up my offseason routine. I was 11 when we made the switch and don't really remember much about it because I was still at that age where we were playing pickup baseball and football all day, every day all summer long.

Y'all just should have married women who love football! Although we're not very common...

Kicker of it is, I married a man who didn't really care that much about football when we met!

I have a better career than any of my 3, lifelong friends who graduated from A&M.

Undergrad school choice doesn't mean a fricking thing.

Just because they told you some story in Fish camp about a waiter getting a job because he had an aggie ring doesn't mean it's anything more than an anecdote.

Your degree is what you make of it. There are plenty of dumbfrick Aggies out there. But I'm glad you enjoyed the personal attention you got with your 300 class size lectures.

Two TV's in the living room. That's the setup my wife had built for me. You would have to see it to understand it but we have this decorative trunk/box thing that she had fitted for a flat screen to fit in. The cables come in the back from the wall so you can't see it and whenever I want to watch a random game on a Wednesday night like Tulsa-Houston that she could care less about I bring the TV out and watch it muted while she watches her shows. When the game is over the TV goes back in to hiding. I can't remember the last time we had a fight about me watching to much sports. The thing has worked wonders. Absolutely ingenious idea by her.

Petroleum department wasn't even half that size when I graduated, and I doubt it is now.

In the oil and gas industry an Aggie ring goes a long way.

See how easy that is? The moral of the story is that Arky blows.

Some left turns are sharper than others.

I'm actually a pretty good wife...never complained much (after all, races make for GREAT nap time), and got him free tickets and garage passes to Talladega. But I have to admit, when he said he was done with it (something about someone getting docked points during the chase, ultimately putting Jimmy Johnson in first place), I was not upset.
