No one knows if Kiffin was even offered,
Trey Biddy of your 247 site has said in numerous posts that Arkansas did offer Kiffin and he went with Ole Miss. So yeah, he was.

Yeah we straight up got beat on Kiffin. Not so much on Drink.

Also, Mizzou didn’t beat us with Drinkwitz.
Let the poor sap have his pretend moral victory.
Imagine feeling compelled to dickride an Ole Miss coaching hire.

He’s melting pretty hard in here trying to talk himself into Drink

Which loan shark is Mizzou going to be borrowing from to afford to hire a new staff?
Do they have Payday Loan places in Missouri? Will they let you borrow 10 million dollars?

The word in coaching circles is that the job is a dead end, so no younger coach is going to take the risk. It is a monumental task just to get back to some semblance of respectability

Bill Laurie and Silent Stan are backing this play. This isn't amature hour.

Why would anyone have to “talk themselves into” be excited about arguably the best young offensive mind in CFB? I’m tickled pink.

I forgot, they don't do onion volcanoes at golden corral. Never mind.

drink is no more of a positive than Sam Pittman, who many would argue is a better hire.

Can Missouri afford a highschool coach?

Glad he can cut his chops up there so when mama calls in a few years he’ll be ready. Just need Pittman to build the foundation first. We appreciate your service.

It seems you know more about their menu than I do.

Lost out on two candidates to other SEC schools and end up with a 60 yr old OL coach.
Don’t know much about any of these guys, but it wasn’t too long ago a lot of people were saying the same thing about LSU and coach O.
ETA: I see WeRidinBaw beat me to this comment, so upvote given.

The difficulty of this search was obvious from the start. Memphis' Mike Norvell, SMU's Sonny Dykes and UAB's Bill Clark said don't waste your breath.
There were calls to Houston Nutt, Iowa State's Matt Campbell and Indiana's Tom Allen. The last two received raises to stay put. Virginia Tech's Justin Fuente apparently said maybe, then changed his mind.
The UA isn't as desirable as it was two years ago.
His original list of candidates was, in order of interview, Eliah Drinkwitz, 36, who is 12-1 at Applachian State in his only year as an FBS head coach; Kiffin, 44, who has been discussed; Willie Fritz, 59, of Tulane, where he is 22-27; and Mike Leach, 58, of Washington State, who reportedly got a contract extension.
That;'s from the Arkansas Gazette this morning
