What will y'all do when the Bengal Tiger becomes extinct from excess harvesting by idiots and trapping for gratuitous display?

Ask the Little Rock Zoo if they can have another?

Why the hell is your mascot a Russian boar instead of a real razorback?

Razorback Hog - a mongrel hog with a thin body and long legs and a ridged back; a wild or semi-wild descendant of improved breeds; found chiefly in the southeastern United States
There are feral hogs very similar to Tusk in Arkansas, especially in southern Arkansas, and they usually have really aggressive attitudes. They are descendants of wild hogs brought to the U.S. from Europe and other places.

Tusk is a real Razorback.

BTW, Mike is a really great mascot too. So is Smokey, Bully, and UGA. Auburn has an eagle that's great too. Ole Miss is gonna have a real Rebel Black Bear before long, and if South Carolina ever gets a real, big bad rooster, it will be glorious, I have no doubt.

I bet those little frickers aren't hard to find in this area. We even have a sign up on I-44 to report wild hog sightings.

I don't think it will ever happen. The the main reason the university kept saying they wanted a new mascot was for the kids. They won't go through all that process of getting a live bear just for "kids" to look at.

Plus, I think that money in getting a live bear could be spent on something else inside athletics.

Probably not hard at all. Some in Arkansas aren't small by any means. Several years ago, I had to kill one that charged me. I had been checking out some land for "hunting". All I had was a Browning .22 rifle (for snakes), fully loaded with hollow points. He dropped on the 10th or 11th shot. I don't know for sure, but I'll bet he weighed close to 400 lbs.

It actually bothered me somewhat that I had to do that. I was trespassing on his turf, I guess. I'm not a serious hunter and I'm softhearted when it comes to wildlife. I just like the outdoors.

It was a sad day when Razorback mascot Tusk II passed away of natural causes at his home in Dardanelle, Arkansas back in January

Did anyone interview Harvey Updyke AKA Al from Dadeville. Starting to connect the dots
