yeah a bud charge and DWI in Fayetteville will mean nothing overall to this young man. Hell Nutt had a gun and drug dealing captain on his team and did nothing.

You would think these guys would learn after lance ray was kicked off the team for smoking pot

Lance Ray was a backup that was never going to start. Oden would have been starting week 1 at the most important position on offense. Way bigger deal to kick him off the team so it will be interesting to see what BP does here.

I'm 99.9% sure BP will cut him. However, I say screw principles, media scrutiny, and team discipline; I want a solid starting OT dammit!

Here's a quote from hogville about our O-line situation now post-Oden. I know everyone jokes about hogville, but this post sums up our OL nicely.

Post by "FANONTHEHILL":

quote:

I don't think the sky has fallen quite yet. Several reasons.
1) Brey Cook 6'7" 317 lbs
2) Chris Stringer 6'7" 305 lbs
3) Jason Peacock 6'4" 334 lbs
4) Grant Freeman 6'7" 305 lbs
5) Luke Charpentier 6'4" 305 lbs
6) Travis Swanson 6'5' 305 lbs
7) Alvin Bailey 6'5" 319 lbs (the best of the group)

Freeman has plenty of game experience.
Swanson is the best center in the SEC.
Bailey may be the best overall O lineman in the SEC.
Peacock and Stringer have had stellar JUCO careers.
Charpentier has been in the system and improved greatly.
Brey Cook is one on the best lineman ever to come out of the state and everyone was expecting him to be a four year starter.

I think we can put five guys out there that can get it done and we have three games to piece it together before we go to Tuscaloosa.

I love the response right after the post you quoted.

Agree, but you need to stay healthy. This just gives you less room for error. Good job picking up those Juco's last year.

We are painfully thin at OL so personally I would let him stay. Of the 7 guys that were listed in that post you quoted, 3 of them have never even taken a snap at Arkansas. We have no clue how good they are going to be in Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge. I would much rather have a guy around that has been in the system for three years and has previous starting experience.

Nah, that dude is gone. Repeat offender DUI, with possession of controlled substance. The other charges are pretty serious, too. He'll be serving some Jail time on this one. BP already gave him a chance on his DUI on the fourth, last year.

Im leaning towards BP just suspending him now even though hes drop the ball twice. Oden BAC was .9, .1 over and he had K2 in the car

Little less dramatic with that info. Im still pissed at the stupidity of it all but if the above is factual he gets Petrino's early morning wrath for the next 2 months.

Oh yeah, I know he is going to be gone but if it was me I would be willing to look the other way on this one.

Sorry man, that is terrible. I was lucky to make it through my pre-21 years to never get pulled over after I had been drinking. I was a lot more reckless before I turned 21. I'm surprised that a lot more people I know haven't gotten a DUI in a situation like yours.

Maybe this will be for the best in the big picture, unless we get injuries. This will make Peacock and Cook accept the fact they will be relied upon greatly from day 1, and it may make the line gel quicker if we aren't rotating Oden at one of the OT spots trying to find out what the best combo is.

Mine was complete BS. I got pulled over for stopping to far in front of a stop sign.

It was on that road between the soccer field and Fayetteville High School and I was turning on to 6th. The BS thing is that the stop sign there is soooo far back off the road that still to this day you have to pull up past the stop sign to be able to look both ways down 6th street before the turn.

The cop that pulled me over was training a newb to the force so I imagine that's why the nailed me.
