Are those games chosen year to year or is it officially done and no more? sans Alcorn this year?

If I were an Arkansas fan, I would hope they were done. Little Rock fricking sucks.

I think they have one more SEC game under contract in 2018 and after that it will be over. Until then they schedule cupcakes so they don't lose money
I could be wrong though

Those games seem to be winding down, which is good. Alcorn State this season and then I am sure they will host another crappy team next season.

The contract is up in 2018 and with us renovating the stadium, scheduled to be completed by that season, I doubt we play anymore games there going forward.

I think Georgia was and will be the last SEC game in Little Rock.

There are some great memories and games associated with playing in Little Rock... but financially we make a lot more playing in Fayetteville. I'm afraid that money talks and Little Rock walks.

I thought the contract was extended to 2020 and reduced to 1 game per year. The old contact was til 2016 if I remember correctly, and had 2 games at WMS a couple times.

I was thinking the contract was for 5 years including two sec games. I would think the second sec game will be Vandy in the last year of the contract.

I agree if no efforts are made to improve War Memorial. Little Rock isn't a great city or anything but it is a nice place to have it right in the middle of the state. Stadium sucks though so I'm perfectly fine with no games there until they make improvements which isn't very likely.

Actually, Little Rock is fine except for that piece of shite stadium. They were given tons of opportunities to make it more acceptable, but they chose not to. On top of that we have to rent the stadium and end up losing money to play there. Add the fact that we already play one off campus game every season at JerryWorld, where we actually make money, and it's not hard to see why we won't be playing in Little Rock anymore.

This article from yesterday says we have to play one more SEC game there and the contract ends after the 2018 season.

That poor SEC East team that plays us in 2018. Only chance to visit Arkansas for a game in 20 years and they get Little Rock where local fans may refuse to go as some kind of protest.

was good outreach to the middle of the state no?

I have been to couple - Grandmother was from Stuttgart so got to sneak up for a few games at Thanksgiving.

I get it though. I use to see quite a few games in Jackson before Ole Miss and MSU made their stadiums less shitty.

Yes it was back in the days when it was a bitch to get to Fayetteville and every single game couldn't be watched on your phone. Many schools, such as Bama and Ole Miss, did it back then. We're just finally catching up to the rest of the country.

I grew up in Jackson in the 80-90s and Ole Miss and MSU were regulars in Jackson

two fold it sucked getting to the campuses, and the stadium was bigger. I agree you are catching up and get the why not to do it. I have good memories even if it includes the micracle

Lots more people in NWA, but the move in's are not necessarily Arkansas fans.
They come from across the nation. We're approved to now bowl in our stadium
for more sky boxes and the demand is high in Fayetteville. Much more $$$ to be made in Fayetteville. I hate it for the Great Little Rock fans.

We should just play Mizzou there next season and be done with it. Mizzou and Vandy are on the same level

Seen games in Little Rock and seen games in the 'ville. Give me the 'ville if I am making the trip and it is a longer drive for me to make it there...
