I'm not sure if you are flaming or not but that is probably the truth in either case

I'll break it down for you and use round numbers so you dont get confused.

Say the both polls wind up

Bama - 30 votes
Arkansas - 20 votes
LSU - 17 votes

Arkansas is #2 in both human polls but with only 3 more votes in each their human poll score and LSU's human poll score will be virtually identical. Then it goes to the computers where LSU has a big advantage. Thus propelling LSU to #2.

I swear i bet some of you think because you are #2 that means something. It's number of votes, not your ranking.

No way.
Fine. Make it 20%. Before you laugh at that, ask yourself where the other 80% are going for their #1 team. Arkansas? Got smoked by Bama. Bama? Got beat at home by LSU.

It isn't as easy as you think - all 3 teams will share 1st place votes.

I understand how it works.

I just think LSU fans are so God damn delusional that they think there will be a close enough gap between them and Arkansas in the human polls that it will keep Arkansas from jumping to #2 the BCS total.

I do not believe the corndogs are open to the possibility that they are looked at as the #3 or #4 team in America, opposed to some sort of really really really close 1a.

LSU loses to Arkansas and Arkansas is the BCS #2. Deal with it.

How many did Arkansas lose by to Bama?
DOES NOT MATTER. At this point, all that matters is WHEN they lost to Bama. There is absolutely NO WAY that if LSU loses to Arky, even if it's a 9-6 OT loss, they remain ahead of them. NO WAY. The "Game of the Century" ended with many people, not just Bama fans, saying that the best team doesn't always lead on the scoreboard, yet not one single vote came our way. Not one. If LSU loses Friday and Bama wins Sat, LSU will have fun in the Cap One or Sugar Bowl. End of story.

who would that be?

Brad Edwards.

Has been wrong multiple times this year.

I'm sure you'll spin this somehow and say Brad Edwards has been right all year.

Again, in 2/3 of polls Arkansas will be ahead of LSU.

There has never been a single instance in history that the #3 team won at #1, and #1 stayed ahead of the team that it just lost to. It has never happened.

That leaves the other 1/3.

What you, and seemingly most of your fellow hogs, are failing to understand is that it may not be 1 Bama, 2 Ark, 3 LSU in every single human poll. In the minds of most, LSU has had the harder schedule of the 3. LSU beat Bama killed Ark beat LSU. "Do I move LSU behind ark, but also putting them behind Bama who they beat on the road?" etc etc.

I think you'll have at least a chunk of voters who see the 1-loss clusterfrick, and then go to season merits to break that situation, and LSU clearly wins out there. And again, what is so blatantly being ignored or misunderstood here is that "#2" isn't the number that matters, it's the number to the right in the polls. Ark may be #2, but I doubt it will be unanimous, and LSU will not need even half of the voters to be split with where to put LSU/ARK to get the nod due to the computers.

But keep on with saying LSU fans know nothing, while jamming your own foot in your mouth and showing you don't get how the BCS polls work.

Agreed. This never happens.

Signed this weeks BCS that has Oklahoma state 2 whole spots ahead of their human poll rankings.

Show me the 17 retards (your example) that would give LSU a #1 vote after losing to Arkansas at home.

LSU fans have gone off the deep end. I worry about riots if Arkansas wins. This just makes it that much better that LSU thinks they stay ahead of Arkansas with a loss. Please oh please let them keep this delusional mind set. Haha the whole world already think Bama lost that game more than LSU won it. Now they watch Arkansas play on the field but no matter what Arkansas is going to CapOne win or lose? :rotflmao:

That's total points actually. Not #1 votes. They all count. LSU would get a ton of #2 votes.

I think his bias is shown in that he discounts the fact that OSU would likely jump them if LSU loses.

That is not likely at all, given LSU's resume and their one loss would be to #3 rather than #63.

each team would be 11-1. why wouldn't LSU receive #1 votes? especially since they have the toughest schedule out of the rest.

They dont think they will stay ahead of us.......

They think:

"We can lose to Arkansas but there will be all kinds of voters out there still giving us #1 votes!"

That's their hang up. They think even in a loss they get #1 votes.

The season is longer than 1 game you fricking moron. Bama lost at home already. Deal with it. Arkansas needed a missed field goal to beat Vandy, was down 17-0 to Ole Miss at halftime, and played 3 middle school teams to start the year.

If you think Arkansas will suddenly get every last #1 vote in the country for a single win, when they've looked awful all year long, then there really is nothing more to say to you.

again not #1 votes per se. They would get #2 votes though for sure. It all accumulates into a point total.
