Just tweeted by @BretBielema: Will put out a release shortly with a list of a few current student athletes that will explore new opportunities. Transition is a process.

Something just seems off about doing that. I don't know.

Is this like getting notified of corporate restructuring with a pink slip?

just read he graduates this spring so he'll be eligible to play immediately this fall. good for him, just couldn't ever win the QB battle.

I don't recognize the other 3, but I imagine Mitchell will have plenty of opportunities.

He may want to drop to 1AA though and play right away. Southeastern Louisiana would be a natural fit for him. I think his cousin signed there and it's close to home.

They've got a much better coach now than in the past, I just don't know what style of offense they run.

Mitchell can play regardless. He is about to graduate.

Ah, well that opens many more doors. Doesn't have to go 1AA anymore. Someone will pick him. Tulane probably would have made a run at him, but they signed Montana out of JUCO.

First 3 were already known. Brandon Mitchell... Can't blame him for wanting playing time, but he should've went out and won the job, he didn't play better. He's just one play away and with our line still not having any legit OT and injury to Brandon Allen could be likely.

Also this is a very odd and specific first post for a Bama fan.

I guess he didn't want to stay at WR? He was a good WR for y'all last year.
