Can’t believe that was really 2 outs in the 9th and 3 dudes don’t call the ball

Couldn't throw strikes after the foul either.

Exactly what we needed at the time. Thanks for the post, friend.

You know why so many SEC teams have this GIF of Arkansas missing a foul ball in the finals of the CWS? Because they were all setting at home watching on TV

You remember that one time ole miss went to Atlanta? O yea, 4th and 25.. bitch

For sure.
And to your other point about doubting that y’all do win it all; I realize your just saying that either to not be cocky. Or because you don’t want to jinx them... but IMO there’s no stopping Arkansas. I can’t even really picture a team that has the ability to beat them; much less beat them twice. Yeah maybe you sneak out with a fluke W somehow against them; but no way you do it twice.
Even if it starts to smell like a close game or like you guys could lose; all DVH has to do, is call upon his hack Kopps. Just a matter of how many innings can he endure. Barring some huge fluke (like Kopps getting hurt) or some catastrophic meltdown; I don’t think you guys have much reason to worry. It’s yalls tournament to lose.

I couldn’t imagine going through that.
A foul pop up and you’re like oh shite we’re frickin national champs. Then no one catches it and you lose.
It's worse than you're making it sound. It's not like the game ended and Oregon State won the championship. We had to go through another game that everyone knew we were going to lose because our pitching was depleted.

One had no business being around the ball but he was gonna be "The Guy" after he had a couple oofs earlier in the game and the guy who should have made the play backed away.
Had the guy who wanted to be "The Guy" kept his arse where he belonged, it would have been over.

Correct. We had a chance to win it in the third game. The foul ball happened in the second game.
I was more concerned as to why Cronin couldn't throw strikes which led to a base hit and the OSU win.

Cronin was tired. You could tell he didn't have his stuff. DVH should have never left him in there.

I think he might put him in an inning early. He was doing well at first then he started losing his breath and stopped locating the strike zone.
But I also think that game was too big for him and he started losing it under pressure.
Contrast to what Kopps did in the bottom of the ninth against Tennessee with a one run lead, two outs and a runner on third.
He didn't fold under pressure and got the third out.
