Auburn wins the West, The SEC, The National Championship, and The Super Bowl because they have Spencer Regions. Everyone else is playing for second....except Arkansas who loses to Bama, Auburn, LSU, and either Ole Miss or State. Book it now.

I truly don't understand the point of talking about the expectations of Arkansas for the coming year, especially now.

Arkansas has been mediocre at best in football since joining the SEC. Arkansas is good for an upset win or two every year and when the stars align, an SEC Championship game appearance.

When Arkansas begins winning 8-10 games on a regular basis, then start talking about the higher expectations. Sure Mallett is good (except against good teams)and Petrino is a solid coach, but until Arkansas starts fielding an above average defense, all this SEC West championship talk and beyond should cease.

We went to Atlanta twice last decade. It's not like we've NEVER been there.

And next year is our best chance to do so since 2007. Two of our biggest games (Alabama and LSU) are at home.

I don't recall hearing Bobby F'n Petrino say the number of games he was going to win. I heard him say we would win more games, meaning more than 8. If he did say "at least 10 wins" he is opening himself up to being ridiculed if he drops a couple of games which when you play in the SEC could happen to ANY and I mean ANY team. Not that I am not with you my fellow Hog fan but to win ten or more is going to be tough, but not impossible.

3 times since 1992 doesn't exactly scream consistency.

Look, I'm as big of an Arkansas fan as anyone. I had season tickets when I lived in LA but I'm always careful with my expectations when it comes to Arkansas. It's not like the other SEC teams, specifically the SEC West teams are getting worse. As a matter of fact, they are getting better, and getting better quickly. Arkansas must keep pace with these teams or it might be back to 1 in 6 or 7 years where we look forward to a possible SEC Championship Game. I hope I'm wrong.

9 wins in the regular season seems appropriate.

10 wins with the bowl appearance is likely -- I also say the winner of that game will be in Atlanta. That is all I was saying basically -- did not predict a win or say we were going to beat Alabama. You have to like our chances though but anything can and will happen. Also that is a nationally televised game so the Network must be expecting big things as well.
