Oklahoma started wearing red helmets in 1966
Arkansas started wearing red helmets in 1952 (razorback logo added in 1964).
Both have worn red jerseys as far back as I can find.

I still cant believe we nearly won that throwback game against Bama. I can believe we choked with Bert on special teams...lol

Don’t be like those gimmicky schools who change their helmets and pants every week, just stick with the red helmets. Looks good.

It is baffling we messed around with our uniforms as much as we have in recent years. We had something that looked good and was recognized for decades. Why mess with a winning hand?
I do like the look of these and hopefully once this contract is finished we can stick with them from here on out.
I don't mind the white on white uniform combo though.

Also, an assistant coach from Arkansas joined OUs staff and suggested they wear red helmets like the Hogs. The rest is history. True story.
