I thought he was interviewing with Nebraska and the Arkansas thing was just a rumor floated by that bitter old man who thinks he is relevant (Irwin).

I've seen that he's in play at Nebraska and Wisoncin. In that scenario, I don't think we get him. Those are two places where it's much easier for your defense to look good.

I'd be happy with Bette Midler if it got Robb Smith's arse out of the state.

I'd be happy to get him but Nebraska would be hard to turn down for a guy with the Midwest ties that Diaco has.

Maybe. But Bret does have experience as a player and coach when Diaco was a player at Iowa so there's a relationship there. It should also be pointed out that Bret doesn't burn bridges. Look how he let Robb Smith go find another job instead of firing him. People do remember that kind of stuff.
