why would we do that? We're not opposed to doing things like that, as evidenced by our lats 2 openers in charlotte vs top 5 Clemson adn in Atl against #11 oregon. Furthermore the game was scheduled for week 2 so you'd have to cancel both teams' season openers..

Now I got no issue with where Texas A&M is after last season

Nah. We have to earn it. All we did was take care of business. Sure, its more than some others did vs their Popcorn State game but its not going to move the needle for pundit voters.
