All of them before 1961.

As I mentioned previously, it's about timing.

In 1945, only about 10,000 people had TVs.

By 1950 it was about 6 million people. By 1960 it was all the way up to 60 million. Today it's closer to 300 million.

The first televised presidential debate wasn't until 1960. They were broadcasting some football games before that, but there weren't that many TV viewers and the NCAA fought against it limiting them to 1 game a week. In 1952 the Rose Bowl was the first nationally televised bowl games. These would obviously get relaxed by the 1960s.

So if they had done that about 10-20 years later, they would likely be a blueblood.

It's a quite interesting history if anyone actually cares about it rather than crying about the labels. But it is at the end of the day just a label and it's dumb that everyone gets so upset over the term.

You're just cherry-assed because your team isn't one of them.

We have heard this nonsense every year, for decades.

College Football celebrated its 100th year Anniversary, in 1969.

One cannot reasonably expect any kid who's 'nads haven't dropped yet to have any real understanding of the history of College Football.
