But no tie directly to the University.

its even better that the hat is backwards. so gay. teams have some of the worst shite now a days.
Seriously, anyone who wears their hats backwards I want to punch in the fricking face. Its far worse than the popped collar. I mean for God's sake the biggest bar in Oxford has one dress code: no backwards hats, and now that is going to be our possible mascot?

I love seeing figs get kicked out of the library for refusing to turn their hat the right way. It's a hat, wear it like it's supposed to be worn...

What does a bear have to do with Rebels? They had it right the first time. This whole changing mascot shite is just fricking retarded. The school is looked at as a freakin joke right now and the administration is too stuck up in the PC crowd's arse to realize that.

I find it pretty fricking hilarious as well. I'm glad the Library does this since I certainly don't want to hang out with these douchebags.

prove where Ole Miss was racist in anything they did. Prove where that mascot was racist.
Excuse me....prove where Ole Miss was racist from say the 80's on. Seem like alot of black athletes came through Ole Miss during the times we were waving flags and everything.

I know he is not rascist and I cannot prove that he was or wasnt. But when the long standing view of the State of Mississippi is rascist people start finding reasons to think so. The administration is trying to rid the University of anything close to being rascist to rid itself of the old south confederate image. You can either like it or not. That is what is happening.

Okay...then open the history books and look at Los Angeles during that time. Look at Birmingham, AL, Montgomery, AL, Tuscaloosa, AL....look Little Rock, AR.....hell look all over the South. It was everywhere. Not just Mississippi. Hell it was as far up as Pennsylvania and New York.

But when your state flag is the Confederate battle flag. The same flag waved at football games and your mascot has col. in its name kind of points you in one direction does it not. Im not saying you are wrong I am just letting you know the administrations view point and what their thought process is.
