Keep talking about me and ignoring all the points I continue to bring up. I hope you keep posting hoping to fill the void in your life left by (I assume) the husband/boyfriend/family that couldn't stand you. I'm sure there are more effective ways to make yourself whole, but you've chosen this route and I hope it works out for you.

I'll stay in the Mizzou oriented threads like I tend to do. I'm sure we'll see each other often given your issue.

If you keep deflecting like you do you will will never get to a better place. You keep bringing up gender issues so perhaps you have repressed issues you are trying to deal with. It is okay and I am not judging but clearly you feel that striking out in this way makes you feel better about yourself. It is short lived and is not solving the real problems you seem to have.

Odd that I have been on the Rant longer but have fewer posts than yourself so it appears I have a life and yours may be the one that is lacking. Maybe you should get a dog and take long walks away from the internet if you are too cocooned to the pixel lifestyle. It is okay to step away if you are an addict to the internet and I am not going to judge you.

Relax and enjoy this frog pic

Got a dog, a 10 year chick, and a successful business.

It just occurs to me that 99% of the people here on the Rant have a school they choose to support either through attendance or sidewalk fandom. You chose to abstain from fandom.

You obviously don't care about the sports because all of your (endless) analysis posts don't provide anything that a cursory look at wikipedia, winsipedia, a record book, or a news story couldn't provide. So there's that, you're the readers digest of wikipedia for the SECrant. I guess there's pride in that. I couldn't take a whole lot out of it, but I guess it's something.

So, we've got a person (you) that doesn't like sports, doesn't like a specific team, and prefers to sit on the SECrant posting about everything and nothing in particular and hoping that people appreciate you for your witty readers digest posts about statistics.

What it comes down to is that you enjoy the interactions here, and that's it. This isn't the Oprah Message Board, so there's obviously something wrong that would make you come here instead of one of a million other boards. Maybe you just haven't found the other board yet.

I suggest you go visit city-data.com. They've got some message boards that are super active, and you can get your joy from comparing which cities are better based on wikipedia and census data. It seems right up your alley. Plus, you won't have to worry about any of this passionate sports stuff. I'd provide you a link to your hometown's message board, but Southern Cookin Groovezilla [ON] doesn't have a board. Sorry.

That is your opinion but is far from the truth.

quote:

You obviously don't care about the sports

I grew up in a blessed sports family and played many sports as a young man. I have a passion for all kinds of sports and attend more live events in a year than you probably do in a decade. My view is broad while yours is narrow and singular so it must make you insecure that you have to lash out the way you do. It may surprise you that when you have kids and extended family you wind up rooting for those teams as much as you rooted for your own team in your youth. It is part of the aging process and growing to appreciate others efforts instead of a singular narcissistic view of youth and limited exposure to the big picture.

Spend some time around the lesser attended sports and you find really great people who travel and support the next generation of athletes. Spend some time with the support staff and you appreciate just what it takes to put on the show. If you were a real fan of sports you would not be as narrow in the views you express. For all the Mizzou folks on here, only one actually seemed to go to the game on saturday. I had tickets for the game and plans for the weekend but a death of someone close cut short those plans and somebody's kids got the tickets. Nashville is a great city and if you were just sitting at home typing on a game blog look at all the fun you missed by not getting in the car and making the trip.

You seem to take what you want from sports but what do you give back? You sit back and judge from behind your TV or internet and pick at those who actually get out there and sit in the rain cheering on a bunch of young kids who are never going to get a pro contract just because they love to play a sport that gets little love from the mainstream. Your attacks are so petty and must come from a deep seated jealousy that I actually have fun and enjoy it all. I really was blessed to grow up in the world of SEC sports and have a real passion for all the schools that have created great memories.

If this is in contrast to the experience you had that is not my problem and you are already jaded by whatever sports life you had in the Big 8 and Big 12. You carry that chip here instead of letting go and enjoying the freedom from your former sports oppression. Life is short and you can keep carrying that chip or you can let it go and and enjoy all kinds of new and exciting experiences.

You're kind of a dick. Grits knows more about sports than most of the people that post here. You could learn a lot from him.

I enjoy the barbs being traded between Mizzeaux and Cheese Grits.

It's top shelf stuff.

There's obviously an Internet love story unfolding before our eyes...

As you see, I'm in Las Vegas. I can't just jump into a car and blow over to Nashville for a game. You mention enjoying sports, I do more than most. I'm a couple weeks removed from going to a Seahawks game and a Mariners game (two teams that I'm not a fan of) just for the experience.

The difference between me and you is that I didn't go join an MLB or NFL message board shitting on Seahawks fans for not being loud enough and not having as good a franchise as San Francisco or Mariners fans for not bringing more than 10,000 fans to Safeco. I just enjoyed it.

You critique and don't add shite to any conversation without taking some shite talking out. You don't post here because you like sports, you post here because you like talking shite.

If you don't agree, that's fine. I'll sit in my Mizzou threads and be narcissistic.

That's fine. I'll spend the next year taking little quips at Kentucky in every Wildcat thread and take offense when I'm called out on it.

If you can avoid being a dick to me I will award you a cake.

Grits had been anti Mizzou from the start. Yeah we denied her/him, she's one of the worst.

Grits is like Switzerland if Switzerland decided instead of being neutral to decide to hate on Argentina and start sending bombs their way while still maintaining the stance of neutrality and then getting everyone else to get pissed off at Argentina when they called Switzerland out on their shite.

Then Switzerland would go in front of the UN, give a five hour presentation on something like children and landmines and make Argentina feel bad about saying Switzerland bombed them, because how could a country that cares so much about children and landmines bomb anyone?

Then Uzbekistan comes at Argentina telling them they're a bunch if dicks not realizing that Switzerland's been bombing the shite out of Argentina for a year.

I didn't say that I don't eat cake.

It's unhealthy and too fatty-ish though.

My new kick is Lindt Chili Infused Dark Chocolate.
