Hoover, Ala really? I think we could do better. Not only is baseball pretty much non existent in Alabama but Hoover sucks. I think its time to move this to either Tennessee or Florida? Both have a number of nice ball parks and have major surrounding cities. Any thoughts?

If they moved the basketball championships from Atlanta, they can certainly move the baseball championships from Hoover

I agree. Should it be like each SEC school hosts it every year? Oh have it at Turner Field

I don't know about that. Only for the simple reason of the size of some of the stadiums. I dont think they could accommodate all of the fans. How big is Hoovers Stadium, it looks pretty packed on t.v.

Have you been to Hoover? I mean, Birmingham isn't the largest metro in the South, but its not small either. I think the Met is fine park, and its centrally located for all SEC programs. I understood the SEC Championship in football being moved to Atlanta, but leave the baseball tourney alone. Along with SEC Media Days, that's all we've got left. I think Birmingham/Hoover does a great job hosting.

We clearly have differing opinions. I just think the SEC could find a better park for the players and location for the fans. Maybe thats just me

Leave it in Hoover. But every third or fourth year have it at Turner or in Tampa. Who would that hurt?

there is nowhere in florida that would make sense. Tampa IMO was a terrible pick for the basketball tourney. It's so far away, and the only relative schools close were UGA and UF.

Columbus, GA is home to a recent little league world championship... that's really what drew my attn to that city.

As far as TN goes, I would suggest chattanooga. what about athens? :)

The only other thing that would make any sense to me is rotating it through a few sites, and keeping Hoover as one of them. The Met continues to have a great showing every year.

I know the home of the Gwinnett Braves would be an awesome suggestion. they just build a new stadium that opens in a couple weeks:

I grew up like 5 miles away from there. Nice facility but there isnt much for the fans to do after the games IMO
