I sure hope he takes us to the final 4 but it takes just the right talent and chemistry along with a little luck. hopefully he can get it done. he's got the coaching ability to. but so do alot of coaches.

Why? Because Johnson got put out in the 2nd round. LSU doesn't go to the final 4 every few years. Brady took you there for the 1st time in 20 years.

like i said, with some talent and a little luck, he's got the coaching ability to get us there. i dont think any team in the SEC has a coach thats a whole hell of a lot better than Trent Johnson.

and then did what the year after.. or better yet what did he do the year before.. the stars aligned in the right position for Brady that year, we're are talking about one of the most inconsistent coaches to ever coach in the SEC.. in the position he was in with the talent surrounding him, just in the city of Baton Rouge, there is absolutely no reason for the mediocre seasons he put together.. no coincidence the only school that would hire him was Arkansas State

just for a couple more years of mediocrity for a big name school.. its hard for me to believe someone could look at the team this season and ANY team Brady put on the court and even attempt to compare the two.. the team this season was better coached than the final 4 team, less talented but FAR better coached

Has Donovan PUBLICLY stated that he is interested in the UK job? I know that UK has money to offer but Donovan's relationship to Foley and the fact that UF can and will counter offer will outweigh whatever UK does in this situation. I don't see Donovan leaving for UK after he's already blew thim off once and turned down an NBA job.

the offense was stagnant alot still. maybe due to the fact that trent likes to run his offense through a big man but it was alot of standing around and jacking up shots. When we did come out of a set play though, it was really something to see.

Brady was inconsistent but Gottfried would give him a run for the most inconsitent. The stars aligned for us in 2004 during our only elite 8 year but other than that, he was very mediocre. Ya'll definitely got an upgrade with Johnson and hopefully we'll have an upgrade very soon.

i definitely get what you mean but at the same time it was a vet team having to learn a completely new system.. not to make excuses cause i think the team had a hell of a season but IMO when Trent gets his players that he develops from the ground up i think we will see a more flowing offense, along with more portotypical big men as you mentioned..
to me it looked like TJ was just going with what worked for the team, basically just playing to their strengths.. run the offense through Thorton, if thats a no go kick it to Taz with Bo and CJ as your third options..

l.s.u. went with Johnson over grant because of experience. Not often you get consideration from a coach who's coming off his second sweet sixteen team.
Bama would be wise to conduct interviews for the job and see who may be interested. Mizzou's coach has a pretty good resume. Not that grant isn't a good coach, sometimes there are coaches that have accomplished a little more.
Brady had this same team with a lottery pick in randolph. johnson won 14 more games. No comparison. Brady was a good x and o coach. Just an arse that no one, including his players, could stand. thus, a lot of attrition and inconsistancy.

dos Johnson also has Tas Mitchell Brady did not. Good try though. If Tas had not gotten hurt last year Brady would still today be our coach. I know that kills you bandwagon fans but truth is truth.
