It was the correct call. Never was a safety. We were INCREDIBLY fortunate, though. Like... ridiculously lucky that the defender rolled him on top of him so that he couldn't be down, Bryce's elbow never hit the ground, and the throw went off someone's helmet.
At that point in the game, we were absolutely throwing up all over ourselves out on the field. Just... historic Three Stooges level stuff. I expected to see Curly in the backfield with Shemp out wide at one point around late third quarter.
