I got a question.
If Penix goes out against Michigan without his starting RB, and start slinging dimes..and wins! Will he be remembered on this board as a legend? I would say so.

He's a great player. A lot had to go right for this thing to end up the way it did. There is not an elite team in this playoff.
It's already giving off a couple of delusions.
1. Belief: Things have changed with NIL and portal and it's all even/steven. Truth: We will find out next year that's BS.
2. Belief: The SEC is not what it once was. Truth: We put a flawed team in this year, that while possibly the most talented roster wise, had the weakest QB play of the bunch in the playoff. That's never a good recipe to win the whole thing.

Why don’t you focus on your yell cheers instead of actual football

It would be cool if he did.

He wasn’t even the best quarterback in the country. How could he be a legend?

I actually saw him play back when he was in Indiana. I was like damn this QB is good, but he needs to fix his throwing mechanics. I feel dumb now about it. And the announcers said something like, “this kid has the potential to be a first rounder after a few years with development”. I think he definitely played himself into the 1st Round (depending on how he finishes) after all. And that’s something bc this year is a very crowded NFL QB draft class imo.

He is deadly accurate. If he had played the way he played Monday in every game, he'd have a better argument for Heisman. Had some struggles in the middle of the season. Daniels won and he should have. That shouldn't take away from Penix, but somehow in the world we live in it does. Today's world leaves us with one champion/winner and everyone else is shite.

I can see Caleb, Penix, and Daniels for sure go in the first round. Then there is the North Carolina QB that’s mocked 1st round. That’s 4 QBs already and they probably take 5 in the draft. Bo had a strong year at Oregon too. And I’m sure I’m missing a lot more guys too. Will be interesting to see how they project at the next level.

This is what I have been trying to explain to people. It is perfectly ok for more than one player to have exceptional seasons, and that is what we have here. You cant take anything away from Daniels or Penix. But the award is an INDIVIDUAL award and when you look at the INDIVIDUAL statistics, its not even close. That does not mean I think Penix is garbage. That kid is a fricking baller, he was just the second best baller this year.

Both Penix and Daniels are outstanding athletes. All of your points are good ones, until the end.
Well-adjusted adults in the real world can acknowledge that both are great, but only one can win the Heisman. It’s only the man children, like on this board, who would call the one or the other shite. But you’re right, it happens here often.
