Why is Bjork being quoted that his schedules will be assembled in this exact same manner? Surely he is above any such action!

Uhh that proof we aren't copying you. I'll give you the stadium expansion though I truly believe Boone was just trying to save his job. Same deal with the jumbotron though.

Seriously though. In his defense y'all did the same thing in 09 with the schedules. Haters gone hate

if you're going to say he's being quoted in something....typically you would include a link or an actual quote saying such.

but I'm looking at our future OOC schedules as of right now. We don't have Alcorn St. or Jax St. scheduled.

We should though. They will bring more fans than the Blue Hoes of Presbyterian

Didn't y'all play two FCS teams in one season just a few years ago during your back to back Cotton bowls? I'll hang up and listen.

What about it? Same game can be played in reverse with your baseball scoreboard that was built after and is something like 2 ft bigger than ours. At least on this football board, we out built everyone in the country at the time other than Texas, whose board sits much further from the field...

Every serious school in the country has built one within the past 4 years... You don't think that was on Byrne's agenda the whole time regardless of OM's plans? Who will we be copying when the second one of identical size goes up in the new end zone to run in stereo with the current one?

Fact is a smaller stadium requires certain gimmicks to replicate the atmosphere in the 100k+ counterparts... That is something that our current administration understands...

Wasn't our fault. Had a D1 school pull out right before the season and the only school that would play us was a d2 school due to the late notice but yeah just like y'all complain about the mocking of your schedule the same was going on for us in 09

I'm on my phone currently. Why don't you ask him about it and see? He is not shy about that assertion. His intention is to follow our current scheduling model. I'm sure you can find that in a simple google search.

This season is the first full Greg Byrne/Scott Stricklin schedule... So it will take 3-4 yrs for Bjork's ideal to apply.

If he wasn't going for this model, why has he already cancelled your Georgia Tech and Clemson series?

In before rebelgator decides to unleash nonsensical verbal diarrhea about how awful our world class jumbotron and Duty Noble are.

For the topic at hand - I've been to the Grove. It's great. The people were dicks, and I saw a hilarious number of red slacks and bowties, but if I had to pick, in a vacuum, a location to tailgate, it would be the grove.

If you havn't been to a game at MSU in the last 2 or 3 years, I can understand why you'd trash talk our tailgating. It's exponentially improved in the last few years, it's gotten pretty damn awesome.

Ok... Then what is so hard to believe about our stadium expansion not being based on yours? Everyone is expanding and this is something our fans have been begging for since 08.

The only thing I find suspicious is that State (and most other schools) are expanding at a time with season ticket waiting lists and growing fanbases. ole miss's expansion plans started moving forward with half empty stadiums.

Yeah, 95% full is half empty. We HAVE to have a new basketball arena NOW. The fastest way to raise the money for that is to attach it to a football expansion that is guaranteed to be needed sometime in the future. If you have a waiting list then you are not getting the revenue you would be getting from an already expanded stadium and you are behind. If state would have put their plan in motion back in 07 then they would have their new stadium and breaking attendence records, but they waited for obvious reasons and now they have to wait for their stadium. Yes it's a gamble to expand when you don't have to but it's not like we are expanding tomorrow. We basically have 3-4 years to continually grow our fan base. Under freeze there isn't any doubt that we will. This has nothing to do with y'all

I'm glad you'll listen. That way you'll actually hear me when I tell you we got screwed out of our game we had scheduled.

Hard to schedule a quality opponent in only a few months.

And our fans wanted to take ours to 70,000 plus...impractical to build based on fan desire rather than demand. Fact is, you have never filled it up consistently enough to justify expansion, even on your best years. OM always has huge problems with attendance in the nonconference as well IMO, even in 09....

Renovate? Yes. You definitely can and should at Vaught Hemingway. Expand? No way. I find no fault in having the plans and funds in place to build in a hurry when it becomes necessary however. We should have been further along in the process when the demand first struck as well, IMO

I am glad you are no one's AD. The fact is that no AD is going to expand their stadium knowing that they will regularly have empty seats. That includes your AD.
