Oklahoma State used that excuse last year to justify one of the shittiest defenses in college football history.

We are not Oklahoma State either. We still have a top defense on a yards per basis average. That include the yards give up by the scrubs.

#2 in interceptions
#14 yards per play
#3 in redzone conversions defended
#11 in sacks
#5 in fumbles forced
#10 in opponent third down conversion rate

Not matter how you slice and dice it, the defense is good. When you consider that our scrubs have played 8 quarters - it's even more impressive.

Oklahoma State led the nation in turnover margin last year and had similar defensive stats to those posted.

Good luck with Arizona State...you might need it.

Okie State also won a BCS bowl last year dipshit. Okie State was 59 last year on per play basis - not fricking 14. The buck stops there.

"If you think McCoy would've made Texas win...you're full of shite. He would have been picked off and sacked all night long.

.And thats your biased opinion

I love reading comments like this. They give me the chuckles. I guess Bama would have never made any adjustments as the game went along. Oh well, since Colt couldn't hang with the big boys we will never know. Tisk, Tisk

Per Saban, "we prepared for one QB (Colt)".

Bama would have lost with Colt in the game, FACT!

Most teams "prepare for one qb" doesn't mean they win, the level of Bama insecurity over their flukey win is quite laughable.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Notre Dame Alabama Game.
I would love to play ND. Bama needs to even the record against them. They won't schedule a game with Bama even though Saban has said he wants to.

Saban took his foot off the gas.

Would of, could of, should of.... and if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his arse. Injuries are part of the game.

Re Oregon's defensive stats, what was the combined record of the teams last yr? Not a flame, just curious. Rather doubt that there were 4-5-6 ranked in the Top 10 over the course of the season like bama's and LSU's defensive stats were earned. Ignore the past if you will. But then you need to shut up & win ONE NC, preferably this yr before beating your duck feathers & telling us how great you are ( in the first 5 games).

For some reason, I think Oregon should be put on Upset Watch when the play Arizona State in Tempe. Here's why:

Oregon has played the #80, #47, #115(FCS), #95, #91, and #61 scoring defenses so far.

Arizona State's scoring defense? 12th (gives up 13.60/game). Their total defense is 10th BTW.

Oregon has played against the #52, #19, #23(FCS), #29, #98, and #95 scoring offense. To their credit, they actually held the best two scoring offenses they faced well below their scoring averages.

Arizona State's scoring offense? 23rd (scores 38.40/game), even with only scoring 20 against Missouri.
