It's kind of like when Auburn wins and sings Rammer Jammer to honor one of Alabama's traditions. It's really the polite thing to do.
perfect explanation

The only thing Auburn fans have had to generate public sympathy around the nation is taking the moral high road.
However, if they start a brawl over something as stupid as this down there, no 1 is going to feel sorry for you anymore about those trees.
If it gets really bad and people are seriously hurt, the state may make Auburn cut them down.

without reading all 5 pages, has anyone questioned how they are going to roll toomers from all the way out at College and University?

Or because it was a great question that you have no answer to...

Just another example of Bama trying to be like Auburn...so sad.

This is stupid. Just let it go. Bama fans should go celebrate (assuming victorious) some place else. I was there in '99 when I thought I full riot was going to happen. Bama fans on one side rolling Toomers, AU fans on the other side trying to stop it and pull down the tissue, and Cops in the middle. Guess which fanbase the cops were more physical with? It doesn't take a genius to figure out this is a bad idea.

I don't see how the state could make Auburn cut down trees that are on their private property.
The moral high road in this case is for Bama fans to leave our trees alone.

It would make you Bama fans look like complete pricks is what it would do. The whole story so far has been about what Updyke did, and how the Crimson Tide fan base were abhorred by it. At least that is what the media has shown so far. People who post on message boards obviously know better.

You've said some stupid stuff on here, but you're overdoing it with this.

Pretty sure it was revealed that an Alabama sorority did that to try and get their fanbase pumped up.
Riiiiiiight. Nice try, booger.

It's good for the rivalry.

I would like to see Bama fans try to roll Toomer's. They would be outnumbered so bad.

I hope they do it. Then a big fight. Then maybe the SEC will step in and put a stop to this game for a few years. I'm sick of the trash from both fanbases turning what was once a great game into what it has become.

The fact that you find a comparison between a song used for the specific purpose of taunting an opposing fanbase in an unsportsmanlike manner and two majestic, historical oaks that have been KILLED by fans just like you is not perfect... its pathetic.
Those oaks are never coming back, you little twerp.
You can always play your little taunting song as much as you please.

This may just stop the practice of rolling them. Wouldn't that be hilarious!

Sounds like a bad move on the Bammers part, seeing how this is a toxic rivalry it very well could end in violence.I doubt any charges would stick in Auburn against anyone kicking a Bammers arse.
