I thought we all agreed the ATPB'ers were frick-tards anyway. Should I start judging all Auburn fans as liars based on Operation RedDog - an admitted made up story to attempt to cause trouble with Alabama recruits?

Havent read the whole thread, but as long as whoever is putting the demonstration on, which I assume is the REC, pays to have the trees de-TP'ed like Auburn does every time they roll it, I dont see where anyone can really say a damn thing about them rolling the trees. If it is ok for Auburn fans to roll a tree that is on public property and therefore not owned by Auburn University, then it is ok for anyone else that wants to roll it do to so as long as they take the same steps for clean up.

I doubt very seriously that I will be tossing TP in the air (thats something kids do), but if we win, I totally plan on being present and taking pictures and video of the other people there.

Your question is baseless. It has nothing to do with the act itself of rolling the trees. It has everything to do with the timing and reason for the rolling of the trees. I have already stated that if this petition had been filed any of the previous 11 meetings in Auburn, it would make for good fodder. However, this is nothing more than an endorsement of what Updyke did.

That is simply your opinion. It could be that opposing fans who have tried it were arrested/attacked/etc., and these people have simply taken an extra step to ensure their protection this time.

If Auburn is smart, they will get a restraining order on Updyke for the trees.

He's the one that got all butthurt and threatened to kick some arse if they couldn't do the tiger walk in T-Town a few years back. Pretty sure he also got banned on here for threatening violence to posters about the Tiger Walk.

Just got off my call and catching up here before I have to go again for a few.

Anyway, I never threatened to kick anyone's arse at any TW as I wasn't even going to T-town. I know it did turn into a pissing match about how the police in riot gear would kick all the Aubies arse though and I was somewhat skeptical of that happening.

And I see my two angry posts within minutes of when I found out about Toomers have been located. Fine by me. I was pissed off and the posts reflect that. I have no problem with them whatsoever and if it had happened today, I would probably feel and say the same. And I was banned for those two posts for a while (check with Bama Chic, she seems to have kept up with it as I certainly did not, I just quit coming here after a couple of months).

So, whatever...

The petition here still is just more evidence Harvey Updyke is the rule rather than the exception in the bama fan base.

I never said I judge "all". The only point I've made in this thread is that there was an overwhelming outcry against Updyke and all he stood for by the Bama fanbase on here when the first news broke. Now, not so much. I'm well aware that Auburn has those nutjobs...you're just not gonna catch me making excuses for them like so many crimson-clad are in this thread. Different strokes for different folks.

Yeah. I had to pick cotton a whole week down there just to get an Iron Bowl ticket in 2007.

So you're not going to convince me this isn't in direct coorelation to the poisoning of the trees.

Nah, it's being done-

1 - To piss y'all off
2 - In hopes that an AU fan will do something worse than poisoning the trees to be able to point a finger at AU fans
3 - And like a Arky fan said, get some idiot judge to rule that it can't be done and then try and countersue on that argument to in some way try and get a court to say "well if one group can't do it, no group can do it"

And many, many of my AU friends claim that Alabama fans have tried to do it before when the game has been in AU, just not with a permit. So, that doesn't jibe with your reasoning that this is only being done because of the poisoning. Alabama fans have always threatened to roll those trees after a victory. That isn't new.

The only direct coorelation between this permit and the poisoning is an attempt to bait AU fans into escalating this and doing something worse.
