It’s tough. They have The Chinese Bandits. Just look up the pics from the 50s. it’s very racist. Don’t support cancel culture though.

So The Louisiana Fighting Tigers regiment is a thing. Part of General Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia.
Also, (I think this is Louisiana regulars under different regimens, and command) there are markers all over Vicksburg where Louisiana troops defended Mississippi with their blood. Also, Missouri, Texas, Alabama vs. Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri (south and north across from each other, no less). The Federalist could not overtake the Confederates due to the terrain and ferocious fighting, and eventually were relegated to siege the city for victory on July 4th.
