The announcer just said today’s attendance was almost 10,000 people. Calling BS. It’s half empty watching this massacre

They count season tickets as paid attendance. Tonight was most likely closer to 6-7k, but big series/ regionals will draw closer to 12k with SRO.

you bandwagon bums are the dumbest people on TD.

We don't take advice from fans of a program with zero national championships

FFS - Why can't people get it through their heads that attendance numbers are always tickets sold and not asses in seats. It's never been asses in seats and it never will. That's a common misconception.

So when the announcer says…. Tonight’s attendance is just shy of 10,000, he’s saying… that’s tickets sold, not actually people in the stands? Seems off

Yes and that is the case with any SEC program in any sport. There are very rare exceptions through college sports at all levels.

quote:

No recent or consistent evidence shows any current SEC program publicly reports actual/turnstile attendance as their official number. Almost all SEC schools (and most Power conferences) use the tickets-sold method for official NCAA/SEC reporting, which inflates figures compared to real bodies in seats
