I thought it was tied?

Edit: looks like it may be 9-7 in LSUs favor, nice

I know some of my fellow Bama fans will go off on this (I don't understand why, unless it's to get under LSU fans' skin by refusing to acknowledge this game's importance). This is every bit as big, if not bigger, than the Florida/Tennessee rivalry in the 90's. This game is huge, and it's huge every single year. Both teams look toward this game on their schedule more than any other EVERY YEAR now. It is the best rivalry in the SEC at the moment and arguably the best in the nation right now. I love this game, and if you really love and understand college football, you should

This is my favorite game of the year. The big dogs of the SEC fighting in out for supremacy

Wish that it were so, but your true rivals are Auburn and Tennessee. Unfortunately our "traditional" rivals are Ole Miss and Tulane, who we no longer play. I am hopeful that we will develop a rivalry with T a&m (never Arkansas), but historically we haven't matched up well with Bama, although over the last decade or so we have certainly matched up better.

That's a quirk. For decades, Bama played all its games save for HC and a cupcake or two in Legion Field. Our transition to full BDS coincided with the only 10-year era in our modern history in which we sucked.

We literally never beat Auburn in BDS until 2008.

so, you're misinformed. got it. let me guess, you're 16 years old.
Before Saban, LSU was a solid, above-average program historically with one elite run in the 50s. You were equivalent to Auburn, GTech, Clemson, etc. 15-25 range.

Bama has been in the argument for GOAT since even before Bear. Their elite runs cover the 20s, 30s, 40s, 60s, 70s, 90s, and 2010s

Now, in this era, LSU is elite too, like us. Congrats

That's what I meant by "good"

You guys sound like a couple 14 year old girls fighting over who is Sally's BFF. Enjoy the great run of these two teams and the great games played between them. It doesn't need a label.

I see it as a bigger rivalry than Tenn--and I'm old.

The Saban factor has a lot to do with it. It's definitely a rivalry, we just need to be more competitive of late.

A bullshite misleading stat that omits very pertinent information. Equivalent to saying most of LSU's losses come when wearing their away white uniforms.

Yeah, we've only been consistently playing y'all there since the the late 80s...about 3 decades ago. Note: The late 80s and early 90s were not exactly LSU's Golden Age either...it was the Dark Age of LSU football.

As the other guy said, it is what it is.

Agreed, just because even when we beat y'all like drum we find a way to lose. Frick the Tide, lol

LSU already treats Bama as their number one rival and it has been that way since Bert Jones hit Brad Davis in the endzone with one second left.

I'm sorry if you kids don't realize it, but it's true. That's when it went over from Mississippi to Alabama.

3 years after shutting out Alabama 27-0, LSU fans stormed the field after beating a 3-6 Alabama team 30-28.

Why?

Saban having coached LSU, and winning a championship there, is a unique connection that most teams who play each other every season don't have...if ever. Idk.

I'm not sure how LSU fans would feel if Saban were here now after being at Bama first. But imagine if Saban ended up at LSU again after giving the NFL another shot. Returning to BR again to ride off into the sunset while beating that Bama arse four times in a row. I bet all gumps would call LSU a rival then.

Why even bother saying this shite? Before Saban, LSU was ranked #13 nationally in all-time win%.

Just because you're ignorant of LSU's history, doesn't mean that whatever bullshite you say about them is true.

Here's an objective site that puts LSU at #11 all-time as early as 1970:
