Me too. There will probably still be a lot of flooding around that town. It would flood anytime that it rained and the amounts that they got plus all the rain upstream that hasnt gotten here yet is going to be hard to handle.

I have an extra Generator I could donate. How would one go about that?

At least the hospital is still standing. One of the few positives.

no doubt man it could have been even worse had the hospital taken more damage. in these situations you gotta take every positive you can get

still worried like hell about my family in Madison. I do feel a lot better from what I heard in this thread....but one of those things that I won't be sleeping well until I hear from them.

that is whats really got me. If it was family or friends in tupelo, I'd already be there looking from them.

Yeah I couldn't imagine not being able to get in contact with family members. I couldn't make a call on my phone from Birmingham to the Mississippi line. I felt lost. I feel bad for those stuck without communication.

its one of the worst feelings when you can't get in touch with anyone. i can remember during katrina even though no major damage happened here we were isolated from everyone. i couldn't make calls out and couldn't get calls for a few days.
it was scary and chilling wondering if friends made it out ok and then people from out of state i knew couldn't get in touch for a few days.

It's amazing how dependent we are to technology.

it really is amazing how much we depend on it. its crazy thinking back in the old days you had to wait weeks and months for news now its all instant and when we dont have the news its frightening
