My cousin goes to UA and she is fine. I have aunts, uncles, cousins, friends in Shelby county Alabama. They too are fine. Tornadoes are nothing new to them but this is a class on its own. Prayers for those in Bama and the rest of the south.

Comcast internet is down in Florence, I hear it's coming from Huntsville, so it sucks not knowing what's going on around me yesterday. Got to see a little bit of news this morning and amazed I got out pretty lucky.

Report from a friend that is a cop in Tuscaloosa. Hundreds of looters have been arrested and one was shot and killed at what was the Quick Pawn Shop right next to the Chevron station on the corner of 15th Street and McFarland.

I really wish that I knew. My best friend's uncle works around Rosedale Courts (housing projects) and when the storm passed and they came out of their oil change pit he said that people were already running through buildings and parking lots around there looting.

That's such a shame. I was hoping that it wouldn't be a problem, I hadn't heard much on the news about it. Just how you're raised I guess. Instead of thinking of helping your neighbors out, you go steal some shite. Awesome. I hate America sometimes.

Side note- I heard saban had given a speech in the ferguson(I think that's what I heard) center to volunteers and said the football team will all be helping with the rebuilding along with him and Terry. Good to hear they are doing their part.

My dad is there right now helping out and Im going to try and get up there at some point later in the day.

Looters? You'd think if people were in good enough physical shape they'd be helping. That's just disgusting.

Also, I'm hoping to see more things like your pic, AUnite. Hopefully, some of the crazies had their priorities put back in the right place.

Wish I could do more to help.

good for him. I know this is a big time for spring evaluations on the recruiting circuit. Good to see he can take some time out of his day and atleast give a speech to get some peoples spirits back up.

Not sure where you're coming from, but it's probably best to stop before Cullman or past Fultondale. Either way, you should be ok.

ETA - Just saw you are in Huntsville.

i just got back from a meeting on the recovery. They have cadaver dogs out, and the death toll stands at 163 statewide and is expected to change throughout the day.

I wholeheartedly agree with that. I'm actually surprised there is looting going on in Pleasant Grove. No looting reported in Pratt City at the moment.
