i agree its a terrible feeling seeing this and being almost helpless other than being able to just check on people and offer them anything even though im pretty far away

I was called in for a specific skill, but I think they are asking everyone to stay away unless they ask for you. I know that probably tomorrow, they will start giving information out as to how to help, or where you can register to be called for help.
The best thing everyone can do now is help keep roads clear so that people who need help can get it.

Would you let me know if you see anything. I'm up in Ohio so ill probably miss it. But I've got a strong back and can get away for a couple of days. Tuscaloosa has been so good to me. Seeing it like this kills me.

East Webster high school, in cumberland MS (about 30 mins from starkville) was completely destroyed. It's where my dad went to school and I have lots of family members that live in the area and that go to the school. I've heard 4 dead and we haven't heard from some family members.
I know it pales in comparison to the Alabama stuff, but keep them in your prayers.

Many prayers are with them. I'm waiting to hear from some people too, and I know the phones are like 3rd world countries right now. Hopefully that's the reason you haven't heard from them. I have some family near there too, and it took her all day to call us.

It's the least I can do. I don't know where they'll put me yet, but with all of the cities that were hit, I'll be happy to go anywhere.
