So basically you built a practice court inside of Coleman... You guys really are throwing some money into the bball program

My main point is that since Saban has arrived the bball team has taken a huge hit...

Except that it hasn't....we hired fricking Grant for $$$ who everyone thought was gonna be a home run hire...we have updated practice facilities, offices, lockerooms, etc. etc. all of which is first class....We have dropped in excess of $25 million.....Coleman itself is actually nice but it is older and not an optimal facility for basketball....but it is large and we consistently outdraw Auburn and were averaging 10K per game this year with a crap product on the floor.

Umm no it took a hit because Anthony Grant was a bad fit.

while your athletics program has been apathetic with a less than mediocre bball team...

So was the rest of the conference outside 3-4 schools. Slive has made a major push to force schools to get better in basketball.

COLEMAN ISN'T THE ONLY BASKETBALL FACILITY

Do you really enjoy talking out of your arse so much?

You should walk the concourse of Coleman. It's quite nice. Interior of the arena is outdated and it's kind of dark past the first tier. Overall though, it's not as atrocious as you like to think it is.

You're just pulling shite out of your arse now. This is quite false. And will only be more false after this BBall hire. Cease your foolishness, boy.

I believe the goat has done a reverse-nelson on him, and has gotten his drawers down around his knees...and has started licking the back of his ear.

You seem really upset over my practice court statement... Sorry to tell you that's all they did... They've just put a little makeup on the place just to satisfy the fans that actually care about the program...

Bammers keep talking about Auburn's financial troubles, yet Auburn will have spent around 300 million on athletics facilities just since 2010 if the rumored renovation of Jordan Hare is announced later this spring of summer as expected.

That doesn't even count paying Muschamp 2 million dollars to be the defensive coordinator or a recent story I read about Auburn getting a commitment from a 14 year old phenom softball player partly because they planned to do a huge renovation of the softball stadium in the near future

Some financial problems

Yep and you are spending yourself to the edge, running up deficits. As long as everything goes perfectly to plan you will be ok. However, if one of your high dollar coaches needs to be fired your athletic department can only handle so many buyouts.

Remember this.....Auburn has fired every single football coach they have had since Pat Dye.

Terry Bowden: undefeated season, then fired
Tommy Tuberville: undefeated season, then fired
Gene Chizik: national title, then fired
Gus Malzahn: national title appearance, ?

The good times at AU usually don't last long.

Since when did a brand new arena become a requirement for basketball success? Do I need to make a list of successful programs playing in really old, outdated facilities?

Duke essentially plays in a high school gym. (And no I am not comparing Alabama to Duke.)

Quick questions, as you are the expert on all things Bama and you've said that Bama isn't a good athletic department outside of football:

1) does AU have a 100+ win streak over any school in any sport?
2) has AU every won back-to-back titles in multiple sports?
3) has AU ever had 7 consecutive seasons of 10+ wins? Actually, don't answer that. I know they've not won 10+ in back-to-back seasons since 1988 & 1989 so I'm just gonna assume the answer is no.

man some of you Bama obsessed AU fans give the good AU fans a bad rap. Glad they aren't all like you.
